I am mastering a 24-bit audio file in Reason and rendering the mastered audio to 16-bit. The Kratos Maximizer is one of the components in my mastering rig. +1 Waves Toontrack!! There are workarounds to get EZdrummer working with Reason, but it would be so much better to have it integrated inside Reason. The RE wouldn't even need to have all the esoteric features of EZdrummer or EZkeys - just to be able to access the Toontrack kits/samples, MIDI files, ...

I'm using a 2i2 1st gen with Win7. If you go to Microphone Properties on the system (right-click the taskbar speaker icon and select Recording Devices), you can set the bit rate and depth. However, the dialog says this is for "shared mode" - I'm not sure what that means, and I don't know if that app...
