ChordSet in the shop

Too bad that the demo video doesn't really show us much.  Nice of them to define "harmony" for us, though!  ;)   I think my auto chord needs are met with AutoTheory, and without a proper demo video, I'm left wondering how this thing is any better.  AutoTheory even has tweakable strumming variations...

Rob Papen's Predator RE gets an update !

"I think the update is labelled 1.6.5 because the VST version was at later version then 1.0.11 ( RE version) ...."

Gotcha!  That makes more sense now.  :)

Rob Papen's Predator RE gets an update !

Any word on when this update is going to be released?

Also, isn't it kind of odd to jump from the current 1.0.11 to 1.6.5?

I was lucky enough to beta test it.  Great device.  $25 is a really nice price, too.  Thanks Ochen K!

As SDKs progress, and older REs become outdated, will their prices drop?

I said outdated, not obsolete.  I don't believe I ever used the word obsolete.  There is a difference in the two words.  Anyway, I was just wondering if you guys on this forum foresaw any drops in prices for some SDK1 and 2 REs in the coming 5-10 years.  That's all.  Nothing more.  Outdated, not ou...

As SDKs progress, and older REs become outdated, will their prices drop?

I'm a bit baffled, too, Mart.  I don't think they fully understand what I am trying to say.  Many of my REs are STK1, and I do love them, but by the time STK 4 and 5 roll around, who knows how much those formats will allow REs to do.  It won't make these early REs perform any different, but in compa...

No they don't function any differently.  But as technology (SDK) advances, the older REs will be outdated, similar to the way Reason 1 is outdated compared to Reason 8.  Reason 1 doesn't function any differently, but who wants to buy it for full price when you can have Reason 8, and all its features...

Do you guys foresee any RE developers dropping the prices of their older, outdated REs based on SDK 1 and 2.... say once SDK 3, 4, 5, etc are released?
I could see it happening.  Who would want an old, outdated RE unless the price is made more attractive?

PX-7 Operators Must Need Additive Waveforms( Title Edited )

Don't use a hammer to paint the wall.  You have to use PX7 for FM synthesis, nothing more.  If you don't like FM synthesis, then you are correct, PX7 is worthless (to you) because that is what it does.  Personally, I love Px7 and use it all time.  I find it to be quite valuable and am continually s...

Props new and "improved?" website

Just a quick look at the new website.  I don't like it.  I think the old one was better.  Anyway, whatever, I don't really care what it looks like, so much, as I do them updating the shop with needed features.....  such as sort by price (STILL NOT ABLE TO DO THIS) and complete my bundle (STILL FALLI...

You can count me in on this genre, as well.  I enjoy making noise and ambient textures, among other things.

HOW do you Select the MIDI input from the RACK?

That's a great idea, kloeckno .  I think it will solve my issue. polardozer , you must first set up your MIDI device in the preferences.  Reason has the drivers for many common devices loaded already.  Just enter the make of your device and search for it.  Then you have to enable it.  Then you have ...

FROM THE PROPELLERHEAD FORUM.... JiggeryPokery wrote: Yes, Charlotte could be used a ducking sidechain. Euclid + AutoTheory

Euclid has been updated to now include pitch (notes). YAY!!! Great update! Thank you Robotic Bean. } So you can now use it to run other instrument devices. I thought about using Euclid to control AutoTheory, so I can get chords from it. The result is pretty cool. You need to have Euclid set to "rece...

Tip: program the on-screen keyboard to the scale/key of your song

Here's a fun tip for beginners (or advanced, who hadn't thought of it yet). What you can do with Reason's on-screen keyboard is program the number pad (10 key) on your keyboard to the scale or key of your song (using -> preferences/advanced). For instance, say your song is in C minor, set the defaul...

AutoTheory for drums

I just thought about using AutoTheory like this tonight and hooked it up. I'm pleased with the results. I think it's a pretty cool way to get some experimental new drum beats and fills. Play around with the knobs to get different variations. The NNXT/Combinator drum set range is set from C-2 to B3. ...

HOW do you Select the MIDI input from the RACK?

My MIDI keyboard has track select buttons, which work well for this issue, but I have no solution when I am away from my keyboard and using the on-screen keyboard.  I can't believe they haven't fixed this glaringly obvious issue.  It seems pretty obvious and basic to allow the selected device to rec...
