I've just discovered this. Much like BOME MIDI translator it allows you to map MIDI buttons to key commands although I prefer this interface and it is very simple to use. I can now bring up the Rack and Mixer views from my MIDI controller!

Re: Pitch Bend issue
I've experienced this recently and it turned out that the controller was sending weird pitch bend messages. I checked with a tool called MIDI Monitor for Mac so I could see what is happening:

Re: "Low-hanging-fruit" feature requests compilation
A lot of my frustrations are Remote related. Here are a couple of things that would be easy to add (I think): Remoteables for Alt-click Parameter Reset: This would allow you to map a button to reset a parameter to its default (eg. Pan to Centre, Fader to zero etc.) Remoteable for Show/Hide Spectrum ...

Reason isn't in competition with Ableton, it is competition with arguing about Reason on ReasonTalk.

Re: MusicTech: Niklas Agevik talks Reason
I read the entire thread and as an interview, the real meaning of it all is rather vague and unclear. As a registered user of Reason since version 2, I think the actual direction of the company is becoming less and less clear. But I know that the latest updates will make any perpetual license easil...

Re: MusicTech: Niklas Agevik talks Reason
I have to agree with antic604 here. Netflix is a passive thing, where I'm not actively doing or making things, and I do that to relax. Music making requires focus and effort for the most part – it is an active pursuit. When I decide to make a song I'll decide to work in either Ableton or Reason. So ...

Re: MusicTech: Niklas Agevik talks Reason
Reason is competing with other DAWs from a financial point of view. If you have to watch what you're spending your money on then you'll probably try to cut down on duplication, so while Netflix might stay you might have to drop one of the two Draws you have a licence for that more or less do the sam...

Re: MusicTech: Niklas Agevik talks Reason
This article has given me an idea. I'm thinking of cancelling Netflix and replacing it with a Reason+ subscription. I just need to run it past my girlfriend and everyone else in the house but I think they'll be fine with it. I mean everyone love music right?

I understand that it's now regarded as the beginnings of hardcore but there's no way you can blame happy hardcore and everything that came after than on Acardiplane. NRG on the other hand... pilled up cheesey nonsense. Hardcore as a term was in use in 91. Stuff like Anaesthesia was referred to as ha...

Re: Oldskool raves
Anyway great music and atmosphere and Fierce Ruling Diva was there playing live. The music started to get a bit silly IMO in 92 and by the time 93 rolled around the scene was over and it split into the (IMO) cheesy happy hardcore and the more musically interesting (IMO) jungle. For me 90, 91 and 92...

Re: Players - a way to have Live's Clip Launcher?
It depends on your definition of clip launching, but LaunchEon can certainly cover a lot of bases. If you have any specific workflows in mind, post them and I'll give you a yes or no as to whether it can be done. Okay I'll bite. I downloaded this when it came out and couldn't figure out how to have...

RPG-8. Good Remote control and does everything I need. I'd be happy if they made a Player version of it.

What was that band that had hoodies and covid masks? Something with 8 in the name. Maaaan. Cheesy Happy hardcore on every corner and every Gap. A sad moment for all. Altern8. To be honest I liked them. Previously they made music under the name Nexus 21, along the lines of the bleepier stuff. They d...

Here is a demonstration about how a wave's visual appearance can be different depending on the phase. Unless you are importing a WAV file to an Audio Track and re-exporting you are unlikely to get a waveform that looks identical to the original and even then there may be differences. https://youtu.b...

Amazing I love it. I did read the article but we're talking about one ruling here. My wish is that all of the copyright for all these things are assigned to the AI company. People are putting lots of time into this while not knowing if they actually will own the results. Fools. As is the case with ...

It's funny to me that a judge recently ruled that an image generated by AI couldn't be copyrighted. This is great. If we flood Spotify with AI generated shite then we might be able to kill of streaming altogether. I think I'll setup a Boomy render farm to spam Spotify whilst selling my music on Bandcamp.

Yes, it just controls the mouse cursor. So from the computer's point of view it is the same as if it were a mouse.

Re: RUN buttons in the Mixer or Sequencer
You could Keyboard Map the Run buttons to keys 1-9 on your keyboard. That way with a single key press you can start or stop the Players while in Mixer view. You won't actually have a visible button but apart from that it will work the same.

What do you think of the trackball? I was thinking about trying one a while back. I imagine is good for the timeline and scrolling the Rack. If you try/get a trackball, get one with a large ball. The one I have, and going from YT videos about music production one of the favorites, is the Kensington...

Are your monitors different resolution? I have one 2K screen in landscape mode, one 2K screen in portrait, and a third 4K screen. But I'm on Windows, so maybe it is an OS limitation. One is 1920 × 1080 in landscape and the other is 2160 × 3840 in portrait. What do you think of the trackball? I was ...
