Re: More CV --> direct control of parameters
You can already do that. Connect the CV to a combinator knob and record that. Oh wow - I knew I could control combi knobs via CV, but I didn't realise I could record it as automation ... cool! OK - I just tried it out and I couldn't get that to work. I mean I can record combi-knob movements made by...

Re: More CV --> direct control of parameters
Something I would really like to see from a device like this would be the ability to convert CV to automation and record it into an automation lane. This way I could record a bunch of fancy LFO patterns produced by CV RE's and then chop up the parts and sequence them really easily. I've done someth...

I love my Macbook Pro and I didn't even have to buy it
Just don't want to use anything else anymore. Did the Microliimbo before ... I'd rather spend the time left figuring out the issues or building hardware for music, watching a movie or maybe playing some game with my son

Re: Complex-1 FM Fun
Here is a percussive FM patch I have been spending hours playing arround with, Plucks/Percussion/Drums ... an the like, short attack from the LPG1 module. Even with a higher attack, it is lovely. Put a player on top or add some ARP and start to move the connected OSCs and the other connected modules...

Re: Complex from Propellerhead
Wow, what is this python framework you use that allows to access and randomize the RE parameters in real time? That's Jupyter Notebook and looks to be controlling Complex through midi messages as if it was a midi controller. I think it just reads a Remote map file and uses that to identify what mes...

I am overwhelmed ... will have some playtime over christmas. I've just been throwing my REndmozier on complex ... need to create some meaningfull randomization rules first. Re: Scrolling in the rack is so janky
Is it the retina resolution or something else? Logic works great. I dunno why reason is so laggy. Yep, it's a know problem. To work around it you have to start Reason in low-res mode. I just noticed that recently after ugrading .. how long is this already an issue? Didn't notice that until recently...

Re: Complex from Propellerhead
Ohh I mis represented what I meant. While I see what you mean and you are correct I just mean something along the lines of a limited size modular. Like for example take complex 1. But have drop down field arrows (like in an excel table) and have the option of having various oscillators filters etc ...

Re: Complex from Propellerhead
looks great, only need a randomize button. :) I tried that... have a look at page 10 or 11 of this thread. Very hard for total randomization. But you get amazing results after some time. TBH per MODULE randomization works great. Here is a short demo for the OSC modules https://youtu.be/7TXG-5YQY4U

Re: PSQ-1684 Rack Extension Appreciation Thread
This time I had a go with the drum pattern parameters (DP dens, DP X and DP Y) merging them with other pulses. This allows to have control how much and when which pulse pattern is applied. As with my other examples one sequencer (S1) plays the root note sequence which is sent to my bass instrument ...

Re: Zero vs PX7 vs.. ?
Have you fully mastered the FM Modulators of eXpanse and Europa? But anyway I love to buy new synths just for randomizing them and having an option more to fiddle with. But whether it adds new stuff you need, should probaybl answered by someone who also owns Zero... I'd really love to buy it myself ...

I could provide a python based controller implementation with a generic remote codec. where you would just have to create. the controller with fast prototyping cycles. based on my scripting environment. Have a look here

Re: PSQ-1684 Rack Extension Appreciation Thread
I'm just missing pattern selection on psq :) What exactly do you mean? I think he means something like that as we have in the other sequencers/players patterns.png which would be very welcome as it would allow to build a song structure or sequence variations with one PSQ. As we are in the topic I h...

Re: Propellerhead's priorities
Not trying to derail the thread, but do a search on this very forum for resolution, zoom or screen size and you'll find lots and lots of people who have issues with this. It's not the tracks I make, it's the GUI combined with the native resolution of modern computer screens. This is what Thor looks...

Re: Grain VST/AU?
Guess they want to see if it succeeds before they invest more. Both synths probably share a bit of the same code or platform, so porting should not be too difficult. I think we have to pay for the VST version of Grain. Europa was more a less a test and keep the users calm if PH invests in VST now. ...

Re: Propellerhead's priorities
I'm not having any graphic issues, so it's not like there's a problem affecting every user and they're ignoring it! Well, if you can spare the desk space and money to have a dedicated monitor setup just for running Reason I guess you're fine. Otherwise you are pretty much stuck with operating micro...

Honestly I don't want to see a port, that would be crap. The UI and workflow like it is right now is brilliant. They just have to add more to it. Im pretty sure we will see Dr. Octo Rex soon, as they already ported the code to gadget on iOS How about mighty Thor? That released some years ago but wh...

Re: Propellerhead's priorities
I don't think the question is whether you should just 'put more people on it', but 'why has it taken you so long to deal with this?' VST performance was poor at launch. Now Reason performance as a whole is poor. Plus Reason itself is badly in need of updating and people have been vocal about this f...

Though I've never posted a track on allihoopa yet. The model of collaboration online using the same program was something I dreamed of. I had fear about the rights issue. It appears they have addressed this (On a side note: You will notice all the top songwriters are doing collaborative "camps" Bra...

No sketchpad. want to create full tracks on Compact. And then polish the mix on Desktop Not saying it's not possible but I gave up that dream a long time ago! And if I'm being totally honest, some kind of port of Reason (even if it was more like 5 than 10) was my last hope for it becoming a reality...

Though I think it would be amazing to have reason on an ipad I think korg gadget had that sewn up a long time ago. For props to really deliver it would have to compete with gadget and then offer something beyond and that is a long way off, I think they simply missed the boat on the mobile platform....
