Re: Help us make Reason better, take a short survey!
One thing I would say about the survey design is that it's likely you'll get a grey mush of results going by the 1 to 5 average. What does 2.7 average mean, or even 3.3. I would simply look at responses 1 and 5, either a strong disagreement or agreement; ignore the 2, 3's and 4's. Then if the 1 and...

Re: Anyone developing a mixer?
So, i would like to see more a big bunch of send fx which can be routed back to the mixer channels. Here's my very first RE idea mockup, no one understood it at the time but it's basically what you described above. Not sure if it makes any more sense today than it did originally… https://i.imgur.co...

Re: Single vs EP vs Album
I think the concept of album listening is still only alive for the generations that grew up without streaming. There will be a minority of dedicated album listeners but from being in other people's cars and homes most people are skip freaks. I recently spent 20 mins in a car with an old friend (he's...

Re: DLD Technology REs disappeared from the Shop (Solved: They'll be back soon.)
Yeah, I forgot about AutoArp. Another one I wish I had picked up before it disappeared forever. And ReVolt is the one I regretted not buying as soon as it was gone. I forgot what was so unique about it... seems like it did something no other CV units could do. Not sure what that was, now. So the ti...

Re: DLD Technology REs disappeared from the Shop
What was the name of the company whose owner/developer died and his heirs had the devices removed from the shop? I always regretted not buying that one CV utility RE he had. I want to say Black & Orange was the name of the company. Anyone remember? I always wished his heirs would have decided to ju...

Re: Hardware Subtractor (Poll)
I don't get the hardware synth's hype. I mean playing live you need to turn knobs and re patch cables between every song. I think of it like I would need to restring my guitar in between every song. I recently got an Elektron Model: Cycles which is a digital fm based groove box. It saves all data o...

Re: Hardware Subtractor (Poll)
I would buy a hardware unit that could host REs. How would that work or do you mean just a controller like the Subtractor one? I just mean that a digital box that could host RE instruments and fx would be of great interest to me. It could have a few assignable buttons/sliders/knobs but you could on...

Re: 20 years of using Reason
Before few days I realized, that I'm using Reason from 20 years. This is anniversary! I used Reason from version 1.5 'till now. Through these years I used many DAWs, virtual synts and samplers, VSTs...etc. But all my tracks were made with Reason! All DAWs have pros. and cons. But for me "more limit...

Re: Volca mix signal diagram help...
I didn't think of this until you mentioned it, but a small mixer with a decent "glue" compressor on the output would be useful I would think. There are a few mixers out now with "one knob" compressors on the input channels, my Zoom L20 included (also some Mackie mixers). But none with a compressor ...

Re: Volca mix signal diagram help...
Thanks Selig, very helpful 👍 Here's what I learned from the manual... The level of the low frequencies is used to reduce the level of high frequencies, adding more dynamics to the mix. (See Block diagram for details.) So I was right 😭 the lows are not compressed they are only used to duck the highs ...

91e915d5b453234d4dd41f375b2ec6ab.jpg I'm struggling to understand the routing in the Master box. Not sure what the X means rather than a +. From my interpretation of it the lows do get compressed but that compressed signal is only mixed with the side output. I. E the lows in the mid signal don't ge...

Re: Patchblock??? Any good??
I've got one coming this week from ebay. Just tried out the windows software and it works fine demoing sounds without the actual block.
Bit disappointed there's only 5 effects patches as that is what I want it for but happy to make my own.

Re: Rex Key Note Info
You could try bouncing the REx to audio and loading it up in Grain that gives key info. Personally I'd probably edit the loop to the 1st note only (usually the root) and load that up.

Re: RRP Lite for FREE on Plugin Boutique
Here are my thoughts on this: If anybody here is a Reason Intro/Standard/Suite user, you are spending too much energy trying to get the Lite RRP and Lite standalone to work for you. It's not made with a focus on you. We're talking about a version made to be bundled for free with hardware and offere...

Re: Advice wanted for new mobile hardware setup
Do you have decided on a "cheap" mixer yet ? Weeks ago i´ve just searched for fun and found a (at least interesting) one. With Reverb and "Repeat"(i really dont know if this is a delay) for under 30 Bugs. ( no affiliate) https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000167435126.html?spm=a2g0s.8937460.0.0.7c962...

Re: Advice wanted for new mobile hardware setup
Didn't look like many are getting returned so I ordered one at £297. Coming tomorrow hopefully 🤞 Congrats, too! For me it doesnt look that inspring........not that i could or would say anything bad about it. Just a "taste" thing i guess. But maybe tell us a bit how it is going for you  I will...
