Re: (Electronic/New Retro) Funky Algoritm

Overall, I think Algoritm is a really nice synth. Really approachable, and I love the fact that you can choose to use it as a traditional VA too. Its a good allround synth and also nice complement to Europa, imho. It's versatile without loosing focus. =) My small wish is that they would add modifier...

Cool track, is it all algoritm presets or your own creations? Both =) The solo lead is heavily modified from Bleeding Edge -eX, then the following Algoritm presets Complex Bass -eX Fool You Bass -eX Ambient Dream -eX Digital Heart -eX Analog Soul -eX I tweaked Fool You Bass -eX and Ambient Dream -e...

(Electronic/New Retro) Neon City Nights

Hi,

Some sort of new retro inspired track made with Algoritm and Umpf Retro Beats for drums. Kind of made it on a whim.

Enjoy!

Re: What are your must have Rack Extensions?

Expanse Hyperwave Synthesizer - really solid synth. Not worth the $200 in my opinion but it's good. Hmm, not updated on its current price, but Expanse full price on release was $149 and with an intro offering of $119 iirc, which is fair imho compared to synths like i.e. Serum, Spire, or Sylenth1.

Re: How To Remove a User Wave file from Europa

You can, took me forever to find out.

Click Song samples in the browser, then go to Assigned Samples, then choose the Europa patch and expand it and the sample should show. Finally right click the assigned sample and choose delete, or remove, sample.

(Electronic/Instrumental) Finding Light

My first song in a long time that isn't just a showcase for a plugin or a ReFill. Name: Finding Light Genre: Electronic/Instrumental Tempo: 120 BPM Time: 3:24 Everything was done in Reason 11. One pad from a ReFill (Sonic Flavours Signature ReFill). Everything else is standard devices with my own cu...

A quick glance at the scope shot of the square waveform suggest that the Model 72 filter doesn't open as much as The Legend.

Re: Softube's new MiniMoog emulation - Model 72

Maybe stating the obvious here but The Legend has different options on the back where you can loose it up a bit and also make it grittier. I think the reason The Legend is "clean" by default is many users don't want their synths to sound too analogue, strangely enough. If you already own The Legend ...

[Free patch] BIG reverb - Event Horizon

Hi @ all. What better way to spend a sunday than in Space? :) I played around with Valhalla DSP's excellent Supermassive plugin and wondered if there was something similar in Reason. I started playing around with an effect chain in a Combinator to try and mimic that huge larger than life type of rev...

Re: Brand new Reason Studios Instrument : Friktion Strings

So I have a question, is this any different from String Werks? I am sure it may be if we were to look at the intricate details, but if I had String Werks, would it make sense to get this? It seems to me that String Werks is more ensemble focused, while Friction is more solo focused. But above those...

Re: Q) how do you create Refills that are Intro compatible

eXode you could be just the person, I actually just recommended one of your refills to a new Reason owner after he had already purchased something from another supplier that wasn't really what he expected it to be. Turns out that your refill fits the bill and after he had a listen he decided to buy...

Re: Q) how do you create Refills that are Intro compatible

Hi Devs after doing some reading over the last few days I stumbled onto the issue of refill compatibility among Intro owners, the compatibility list says that Refill support is limited within that version and it's got me wondering how to create Refills that are compatible. Has anyone got any inform...

Re: Where are the Wavetable Refills?????

Expanse I found more difficult as it seems to heavily "rectify" the waves in some way that leaves most samples unrecognizable. However it works better with wavs that are actually intended as wavetables. Expanse maximizes the frames, if I recall correctly, so you don't get silence. When loading regu...

Re: To Zero or not to Zero

Hi Exode I often look at Zero & PX-7 and wonder which I would get. I Tried Zero when it first came out and there was a Song Comp. I haven't dared Try PX-7 yet. Sometimes I get a hankering for FM. Thor can do some, Europa can do a bit, I made my own 4-Op... but there is a lure to full FM and the det...

Re: To Zero or not to Zero

In the multistage envelope movement modulation is possible. I am no way an expert or such, just curious. I wonder what the difference is in implementation(?) that modulation of the envelopes in Zero are not possible. I don't know the exact difference either, but I think that it has to do with Zero'...

Re: To Zero or not to Zero

Hmm I'm in doubt. I like Zero and the sounddesign possibilities. Two things though are holding me back. Most important: no cv inputs for the matrix. I know the Matrix per operator can be modulated, but I want to be able to modulate each on its own. So to store those modulation I have to record in t...
