It's not just a note display, it can also transpose notes and CV I use it simply for that.

Grab that free kHs Limiter. It's very simple, but good, and you can chuck it in anywhere you like and get a feel for what it does. Yes! It's a stupid idea. It's always a hell of a lot slower. You probably know that so I am not sure why you're asking. Well sure it's (almost always) slower, but if a person's built-in drive is filled up yet they aren't ready to retire their computer, what other choice is there? Hardly not stupid, IMHO...
