Yeah they don't emphasize the way their plugins are developed at all.
People have no idea what this is in general.

Refills are libraries similar to kontakt and uvi.
You can also synthesize one.

It's proprietary & in some of the most reliable programming languages.
But other daws have workflow enhancements to be considered luxury/out of this world.

The best places I can think of are sweetwater, KVR & Amazon.
Unless it' just digital only then KVR would do the trick.

While I like having a built in notepad, there is windows notepad.

Vst 2 is discontinued & vst 3 uses the same language Reason does. Propellerhead will most likely not look for a vst 2 license. The built in bridge in reason might support only vst 2 because (Just guessing) the bridge was built around Vst 2 specific plugins and below. I'm guess reason can run vst 3 ...

The other daws are workflow powerhouses actually.
Reason is different because they focus on just the plugins that come with reason as a whole.
The piano roll gets the job done but can do with some modern UI changes to match the plugins.
Bold gridlines is highly requested imo for reason in general.

The desktops I use are usually built by hand. The stationary ones.
I tend to use the laptop a bit more.

Each update's 130$. props has to do something each time.
Last version was 5 modules. (That was a lot for 130)
