And the PUF was no more...
It's a bit sad to see Propellerhead shifting from an innovator to a follower. Their pigheaded "do it our way" approach used to be a strength as they came up with magic in each new release. But now it looks like they're sucked into this mobile device bandwagon, which is obviously where the money is, ...

Ozone RE versus Ozone 5 versus Ozone 6
Hi I use Ozone RE and find it pretty good for getting a loud, warm, punchy master. The times when it doesn't work well, I can usually improve the end result by going back into the mix and addressing the root cause of issues (normally I'm overcrowding tracks and more ruthless EQ is required). Has any...

After all, we get international bragging rights to Crowded House. If anyone ask me about that funny place called New Zealand, I mention that it's 'The East Island of Australia'
You can have Russell Crowe back though.

I don't know why you guys need to discuss this, the answer is pretty simple: http://marmite.co.nz/ Don't expect to get through Australian Customs with that attitude, ya bloody Kiwi :s0221: Hahahaha!! Vocaliod3
I'm always on the lookout for a good synthesized vocal. The Vocaloid stuff seems very oriented at J-Pop from what I can tell. That Choir synth sounds really impressive! My goto synth vocals continues to be the speech synth in FL Studio. For a robotic vocal it sounds pretty good. I also dabble a bit ...

Updating Soundcloud tunes?
This feature is available in the paid version of Soundcloud only.
What you do is edit your track then where the uploaded audio file is, there's an option to replace the file.
It's pretty handy especially if you want to preserve all the comments that people took the time to leave you.
good luck!

EditorKeys Reason PC Keyboard give away!
Excellent. Good on you!
I already use one of these and find it great! I wish it was a bit bigger but it is so handy having the printed keys. I find it works just fine with Reason 7 AND 8.

I'm wondering if we will see any song comps on here in the near future? I see FM has joined but I dont think he has time to set one up but it would be great to get something going? I'm eager to help out if I can but honestly I'm crap at organising something of this magnitude. The contests were t...

Shrinking large Reason projects
Hi everyone Here is a great tip I learned from Mattias. The problem: when you record a bunch of audio into a Reason (vocals or external synths for example), the file size increases dramatically. Before you know it, you have a file that is hundreds of Megabyes. If you are collaborating, big files are...

I was going to demo FG-X but it looks like even for the demo, you need to have one of those security dongle things, which cost about $85 in NZ. So I'll stick with Ozone RE! (Real issue with my mastering though is generally my mixing!!) :) if i may interject, slate does refund you the cost of the i...
