Re: CV-able effect sends for SSL mixer (or a sends module, like the EQ and comp devices)?
I may have mistakenly assumed you wanted CV jacks added to the Mix Channels for Sends, same as there are Level and Pan CV jacks currently. To be clear, I would like the mix channel/audio channel/group channel to have general CV inputs that could be assigned to control SSL mixer controls, not to the...

Re: CV-able effect sends for SSL mixer (or a sends module, like the EQ and comp devices)?
I just want the mix channel/audio channel/group channel to have a programmer, like the Combinator and VST panels do, where there’s assignable CV inputs on the back. As part of the programmer, I’d like to see the destinations include the EQ controls, compressor/gate controls, sends, etc. In the hardw...

Re: Device groups request
I’d be happy with the group/folder/whatever being the output buss, like routing everything to a drum buss and having that whole thing be collapsible.

Re: CV-able effect sends for SSL mixer (or a sends module, like the EQ and comp devices)?
Why would it have to affect all channels? You can automate a single mixer send, so why couldn’t you target a single mixer send with CV?

Still interested in this. It would really be handy to send a LFO to a mixer channel send knob.

Re: Who would you prefer to acquire Reason Studios?
My vote would be the Focusrite Group. It was well noted that when they bought Sequential Circuits, it allowed Dave Smith to focus more clearly on designing instruments (up until his recent passing). That’s the kind of place I’d like to see RS, under an umbrella where they can focus on the rite thing...

I just got it recently, as a freebie from Focusrite. Haven’t used it yet though.

Re: Holy forksticks, R12 (early release) was 19 months ago, official launch was 17 months ago. When do you predict R13?
Nailing native M1 support is going to take QUITE a lot of time on its own, and there's likely quite a bit of work to do with finishing up lots of little VST3 bugs. So... R13 isn't happening until 2024, and I wouldn't be surprised if it happened in early 2025.

Re: Top 5 Reason Release Moments
#1 VST support in R9.5. I spent a few years trying to make music without Reason, solely using VST’s in Cubase, and managed to NOT make anything inspiring. I stopped at 6.5.3 for a LONG time, and missed a few things about Reason that were just so much easier to use for me, and of course one of my fav...

So if apple will bring IOS to IpadPro M2 after summer maybe, than that´s the biggest game changer since rack extensions/recording was added to Reason in usage. In every fact really interesting, also this IOS update crazyness becomes that bad after taste like now, updates ipads from semipro to real ...

Re: Softube gone from the shop?
True, but I thought the Korg RE’s didn’t offer more than the VST’s, and actually offered a bit less? Every RE instrument with ADSR and LFO onboard should offer those as CV outputs. That’s one big bummer to me on those RE’s, and I already bought the Polysix and Monopoly VST’s before those became RE’s.

Re: Softube gone from the shop?
Korg, D16, and Softube are some of the OG devs who brought their RE's to Reason. They're not actively developing anything, and they pretty much missed the boat on what an RE should be. Porting a VST 1:1 to RE without adding anything as far as extra audio or CV I/O was severely disappointing. If a cu...

CV generator with an automatable knob?
Is there anything out there that generates a CV based on a knob position, and that knob is automatable? I'm trying to do something with track automation in the sequencer, while also using CV to modulate the same parameter. The destination is the cutoff on an Arturia plugin, and it doesn't appear to ...

Re: FF Twin 3
Twin 2 was decent. It was one of the first handful of plugins I ever purchased (so long as that I got it with Pro-Q2 on a EDU purchase).
Probably will upgrade to Twin 3, as it’s cheap enough ($45) as an owner of nearly all the other major FF plugins.

Re: Softube gone from the shop?
does this mean I will lose this device at the next upgrade? No certainly not, RS had fully purchased the rights. In such a situation, there is a clause of handing over the source code. Basically company A buy company B product with a maintenance clause. If company B decide to stop or bankrupt or an...

Re: Softube gone from the shop?
So, another high end RE developer has pulled out and no observable response from RS? No public statement of what's going on or even any attempt of putting users at ease or damage control? Is Niklas just sat in his office saying, "oh well that's life" or something? Softube leaving is just like a tre...

Re: Drum Buss RE?
Isn’t that what routing a bunch of tracks to an output buss and sticking FX on the buss insert is for? I usually don’t do much more than stick an EQ and a VCA comp like a DBX-160 on my drum buss.
