Re: No sale price on upgrades?
The beauty about upgrading to R11 is you will never need to upgrade again, just take your instruments, effects & players (if poss) to another daw and never worry about this again...

If so, please do us a favor and ignore him completely :D Well he got a free license to the suite so by the time you realised this video existed you were already too late... The 5" jbls are larger than the same Eris, and have a bit more bass response. Too much for my small room Never understood the "too much for my small room" thinking with regards to bass. The only speakers that are "too much" for a small room are either a speaker with a long throw or a speaker that's...

Re: New RE "Bézier Dynamics" from Bcase
The name made me initially think it was some kind of compressor. Sounds like a sweet alternative for the RX950 from the demo video, this is going on my wanted list! Aha. Is that what it is? But who NEEDS an alternative to the RX950 when it’s so damn good. :) Its similar to Rx950 but actually does m...

Hey guys I hope you are all doing great. As I've already mentioned in my first post I am a full time FL Studio user so any help, tips or tricks are very much appreciated. FL Studio has a Soft Clipper Plugin which I find very useful in my master channel. I can see the excellent Maximizer has a soft c...

Re: Best RE Master Compressor
my mastering strip tends to have more than one compressor, but the one i've found to have the most desirable impact each time is the Selig Leveler. I stick it near the end of the chain where after all the other plugins have worked their magic, its like this RE brings out the full potential of the ma...

Re: Blamsoft status?
There are several reasons why I have not released an RE, but the main one is career skills. I feel that AR, data science (ML/AI), GPU computing, web APIs, and quantum programming are skills needed for a professional software developer going forward. These technologies, especially AR, ML, and web AP...

Re: Hard Pan is not Hard Pan?
I just got the tip to look at the master channel level indicator. (How come I did not think of this myself? ) The right channel does not show any signal at all so I guess the problem is not within the DAW, but rather some kind of cross talk in my sound card. And, it is not that big so it mig...

Re: The Legend or VK-2 Viking
See, my reasoning with issues like these is to always go "wide" and not "forward". Meaning: I'm sure Vk-2 will have a bit more to offer than its predecessor but in the end it's more or less "more of the same" whereas The Legend will actually expand your sound options & general workflow with somethi...

Example! Of course they aren't 100% identical, but I've gotta go to work soon :P No effects or processing of any kind. I should've increased the release times a bit on both synths to get rid of the clicking, oh well. https://soundcloud.com/cutandpass/ab-comparision/s-uxkly I mean, can you really te...

Here are a couple of threads that have some discussions on these two powerhouse synths it comes down to preferred workflow. You should trial them for a real world flavour, these discussions are mostly subjective: https://forum.reasontalk.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=7504074&p=362958&hilit=vk2+legend#p362...

Re: Scenic!!!
This forum seems to have a pretty negative attitude about everything. I'm glad to be proved wrong here personally, this synth looks like lots of fun and very interesting to see what it could do with samples that's different to the other samplers in R10. RS have a strong track record of creating inst...

Re: Thor Discussion
I think the main thing is that the layout is all over the place. I have the same issue with eXpanse, dont get me wrong Thor is a remarkable instrument and so is expanse but I always end up gravitating towards synths less heavy on the subconscious eye. Like the guy above said Europa is great to work ...

Re: Do you still use the MClass series?
Use the compressor in literally everywhere song where simple compression in a "does what it says on the tin" kinda manner is required. The Maximiser is used literally in every session. I'm yet to encounter a better softclipper than the one on the maximiser (for the CPU hit anyway), sounds great for ...

Re: Higher sampling rate causing delays to change/sound different? WTF
Oddly, The advantages I am aware of when using higher sample rates have nothing to do with frequency response. They have more to do with faster time constants in dynamics and less aliasing in saturation and distortion effects. There would be no advantage to giving the mastering engineer more “Air” ...

Re: Higher sampling rate causing delays to change/sound different? WTF
This is probably due to distortion plugins This might be it. Copious use of distortion used in the mix. Saturation fiend i confess! Also as other said, any advantages of mastering at higher rates can be achieved by upsampling before mastering Hmm but is it not better to extend the nyquist frequency...

no reason to export at a different sample rate than the one you've worked at Definite noticeable quality difference. The high end in particular, the depth of the sound. Some people cant hear it at all but when exporting a mixdown to master it will be 96khz as long as I can help it. During productio...

To learn synthesis start with Subtractor then move onto Thor. If you master these two synths you will have a solid foundation to program most synths. I do not understand any of the criticism levelled at Thor. The layout is really well done. Here are some feature packed super flexible synths which t...

Higher sampling rate causing delays to change/sound different? WTF
Hey guys, I've had this problem for a while when using Neutron or Spectre. I predominantly work in 44.1 to save on computing power but nowadays I'm exporting my sessions at 96k for mastering. The timing for Neutron as a particle emitter changes when I have it set up as a delay in the send fx. This s...

"why was this put in suite?" Probably to try and get you to buy the suite. The number of you who are almost eager to dismiss the thing outright when we haven't actually seen it in action at all is kind of amazing. I'm pretty new to Reason, and I haven't spent 2 minutes with Thor. I figured that their newest synths (Europa and Grain) were their most advanced. I'll have to watch some of these vids and see what you guys are talking about. Honestly I would start with Europa over Thor. It might have more advanced...
