Thanks, I have tried it. It is impressive, but it is not as good as Thor yet.xylyx wrote: ↑03 Apr 2021Haven't tried it myself but it is apparently 'inspired by' Thor, so might cover your needs:

Re: Would you buy Thor as a VST?
Seeing as they discontinued the Europa VST after the release of the RRP, I don't see them releasing another synth (and one that is older) as a VST. As mentioned, a graphics update would probably solve the need for zooming. Ahh, I didn't know that they had discontinued the Europa VST - well, then I ...

That would be a nice option. I still would like Thor as a VST though!stratatonic wrote: ↑03 Apr 2021I think the desktop GUI is going to be bigger in Reason 12 anyways - you may like using it in the RackPlugin then.

Would you buy Thor as a VST?
I don't use Reason much these days. I work faster in Ableton Live and I have soooo little time for making music so I better make the most out of the time I have. And running the Reason Rack plugin for just using Thor is suboptimal in many ways. And on top of that, the GUI is too small for me. I miss...

Re: Is Nektar Panorama good for programming synths?
Yes, if using it just to design sounds inside Reason that you will later use in the the Rack Plugin in another DAW, a Panorama P1 will work perfectly. Nektar has been very good at keeping their firmware up to date when new devices are released. T series is not available without keys. The display is...

Re: Is Nektar Panorama good for programming synths?
I can live with just using Panorama in Reason *as long as it works flawlessly there*. Is it fully working with most synths in Reason without any hassle? If I use it for sound design in Reason, I want to be able to fire up Reason, load a synth and start playing around immediately. I don't want to hav...

Re: Is Nektar Panorama good for programming synths?
**Keep in mind though, this only works in Reason standalone as it's reliant on Remote mapping. Other DAWs have their own control protocols so Panorama will not have any mapping for the plugin version. Thanks for the warning QVprod. I suspected that this would be the case. This may be a good opportu...

Is Nektar Panorama good for programming synths?
Is Nektar Panorama still the best controller for programming synths in Reason? When using Reason more actively, I used a Nektar Panorama P4 for programming synths like Thor and Antidote. Now being able to use Reason as VST Rack, I have gotten interested in Reason sound design again. Is Nektar Panora...

Re: Pls recommend synth to complement Peak!
Would you say that MiniBrute is isinspiring on its own or do you need extra Eurorack modules to make it interesting? I find it interesting on it's own, but not in a "modular" way so much as a flexible way - meaning, I rarely need it to do much more than what a few patch cords can achieve (because I...

Re: Pls recommend synth to complement Peak!
Yes, maybe all of the synths I mention overlap the Peak too much. It may be more intersting to go for a good all-analogue one. Thanks jayhosking for your thoughts, and nice track!

Pls recommend synth to complement Peak!
Thinking about getting another hardware synth. I am a hobby musician that make songs in a DAW (live) and I use a lot of virtual instruments. I want to make pop music and melodic EDM (you could check out https://soundcloud.com/svenhe to see what I mean). Some time ago, I bought my first hardware synt...

Re: Hard Pan is not Hard Pan?
It turns out that it is the head phone jacks of my Scarlett 6i6 that gives a bit of cross talk. If I use my studio monitors, the left speaker goes dead silent if I hard pan right. Maybe this flaw is a good thing for mixing, emulating a bit of cross talk that would happen when listening through speak...

Re: Hard Pan is not Hard Pan?
I just got the tip to look at the master channel level indicator. (How come I did not think of this myself? ) The right channel does not show any signal at all so I guess the problem is not within the DAW, but rather some kind of cross talk in my sound card. And, it is not that big so it mig...

Hard Pan is not Hard Pan?
The other day when i tried to hard pan a few tracks I was surprised to discover that I could not really hard pan. E.g. if I tried to hard pan to the left, I would still get a bit of sound in the right channel. I tried to hard pan the track mixer channel, the master bus as well as inserting Line Mixe...

Happy about the Reason Rack Plugin!
I am a Reason user who have used Reason less and less in recent years, mainly because of the sequencer and the mixer. Sure, most (if not all) of the things that I want to do are possible in Reason, but the workflow is almost always much simpler in Ableton Live. I am now very happy to get easy access...

I did use the jrr offer and I have successfully installed the Suite. I suggest you go to another computer, loging to your account, and try to register the code from there. Then you should be able to go to your studio computer, open your account at reason studio site, and download, sync from there. ...

Great - thanks for the tip!
Managed to buy an upgrade license for a good price, but haven't been able to register it yet though, because "The license server is offline". Poor Reason Studios staff, they must be under a lot of pressure right now...
