Re: Nobody talks about studio monitors here. What are you guys listening on?
I'm using a pair of JBL LSR305's. Nothing fancy but gets the job done when I need a little break from my Beyerdynamic headphones (DT 770 Pro closed back and DT 990 Pro open back).

Re: Kuassa Mesa Boogie amp sim RE coming soon?
Now this is something I'd be interested in. I've been playing Mesa Boogie amps for years, with Rectifiers being my go-to. I currently have a dual rectifier and a single along with a Mark V. I'd be curious to hear how this does up against micing up or some of my other Mesa amp sims.

I like this new style you're venturing into. The drums are more varied on this one which work well with the various elements you introduce throughout the song. I remember you were aiming to put more focus into your drums. Nice work!

One exception was Parsec2. It manages to find its way into most songs. out of curiosity, what did you find to stand out in parsec? i've centered my last 3 tracks around it as well and i find that its a good synth with lots of possibilities to make complex sounds and phrases. but i couldnt really fi...

Re: (Funky Bass) Glow Worm
Like especially the rhythmic side of things here :-) In terms of the synth I could imagine experimenting a bit with its sound/timbre, possibly less "picky" with a slightly fuller body and possibly a little more filtermodulated. Thinking typical 303 style in terms of filter variations going into bub...

I'm normally not a fan of very repetitive music but I really liked this track. The recurring theme works well since you did a great job of keeping interest with all of the effects, automation and additional elements. Even if you know what the beat or riff is going to be you've added life in a creati...

Friggin great stuff. Drums are hot. I wish it went on for longer though. Glad you liked it. I tend to over-write when I'm coming up with songs and have a longer initial skeleton. Once I get a bunch of ideas and the general structure down I then get rid of a lot things that I don't like or don't fee...

Really cool stuff. I like the organic elements and the change around 2:11. The song really evolves over time. Great job!

Solid beat and groove from start to end. I did like the vocal chop that kicks in around the 3 minute mark that you run wild with. Nicely done!

Really good work, as usual. I like the energetic drums and bassline while the lead is more chill.
How was it only using your own sounds? Did you find it more inspiring or easier to work?

The recent May Madness sale made me realize I have a lot of REs I never use. Why not change that and put them to use? Here's the aftermath of scrolling through and fiddling with a bunch of REs I've totally neglected. One exception was Parsec2. It manages to find its way into most songs. RE's used in...

Re: Which Rack Extensions have you recently bought and why?
The reward section hasn't had much action lately so I figured no reason to continue saving my points. I went ahead and used them to get Friktion for free. I'm having a ton of fun dialing in weird sounds that this thing probably wasn't intended for. Reason did a great job on this RE.

I finally grabbed Friktion using my reward points. You can dial in some really wild sounds with this thing. It delivers the type of weird I've been looking for. I'm really going to lose track of time now.

Re: (Metal) RBM feat. arthur - Satanic Panic (Metal Version)
Very cool song. The mix is also nice and clean even if the snare pokes out a little too much. I can definitely hear the Tool influence throughout the song. It's fun mixing electronic elements with metal even though it can turn into quite a rabbit hole. I've found myself bouncing tracks to commit to ...

I've never really explored players devices until recently and found some really cool uses for things like Beat Map. This led me to trying Bassline Generator while it's on sale. Never thought I'd buy a players device but here I am on the final day of May Madness and purchased Bassline Generator. I'm ...

Didn't expect to see Porcupine Tree pop up on here. Funny that I also randomly came across one of their latest songs yesterday after not having listened to them since Deadwing.

Re: (Alternative/Indie) Reason To Fan The Flames
The instrumentation, vocals and mix sound great. The only recommendation I'd have is focusing on having the chorus pop more. There aren't any dynamics between the verse and chorus. I feel like that could really raise the chorus up nicely. Other than that, I really liked this. Nice work!

The new version sounds more balanced, crisper and more polished. The only downside even with shortening the song is that it still seems too long due to how repetitive it is. I do like the drum improvements. Nice work with the added fills and transitions!

Good stuff. I like how you built this up with the drums and bass. I think the song could benefit from expanding the idea a little further as it gets a little repetitive in the second half.

Thanks for sharing this. I've been on the fence between getting Friktion or Algorithm for making weird sounds even though they're both totally different beasts. This video helped me make up my mind.

Just noticed The Animus at $15 Anybody loving this one? I trialled it ages ago but didn't get a chance to really put it through its paces.
