"Restricted"? No. But the combination of Logic Pro and being able to use your iPad to control basically anything you want inside Logic works like a charm.

However you look at it, it is very clear that Reason 12 was NOT ready for release.
RS should have waited 6 months or so and release a complete, stable version rather than a faulty, crippled version and get a lot of flak from the user base. This does more harm to the brand.

I know people were half/not-joking about M1, but keep in mind that "M1" and "M2" are just marketing terms for Apple Silicon, which is in the "arm64" architecture family, just like "Intel Core" is marketing within the "x86/x64" architecture family. Why? Because with the standalone version you can decide to NOT upgrade and carry on using the version you have forever. Whereas... with the subscription you HAVE to keep paying each month That's my worry. As soon as enough people are pushed to the subscription model, those prices will increase too....

The way it is going now, the next blog post will announce the price increase for subscriptions. Because that WILL come.
