Yes, that’s it!
Still drinking my morning coffee and misread this thread title as “Edible Labels”, which as far as I am aware is NOT possible - good morning indeed!

Re: Adding full ADSR envelope to Serato Sample slices
You're on the right track with Modrack ADSR. But you have to trigger Modrack's ADSR. You can do this with a handy utility called One-Note Stand. Then patch the ADSR CV out into Serato and route it to the volume control of the desired sample. That, I can't help you with, as I don't have Serato. In t...

Re: The New Website
I actually love the new website. I'm a web designer for what its worth but this site is much quicker, laid out nicer, and looks much more responsive than the previous version. I just went to the new site, was there looking to see read about had changed with the newest update. Couldn’t find it with ...

Re: Focus mode & drop-down
Yea, things can get pretty gnarly with a ReDrum connected to 10 mix channels w/ some FX patched between ReDrum outs and Mix Channel inputs with other FX patched in the Mix Channel insert, all channels feeding a drum bus, plus a parallel drum bus, plus a parallel connection from the kick to side chai...

Re: Tera Kiss - Don't give up : advices needed about our song.
Great idea, only comment I would have is the rhythmic pad/vocal part going all the way through is way louder than anything else to my ears, like to the point it’s distracting from the lead. It’s like a dish with too much seasoning distracting you from the main ingredient (the vocal). Plus it is (int...

Re: Looks like Reason Studios have redesigned their site...
I'm not so sure - this is the age that allows expensive hobbies and many folks in the age range are spending WAY more than the 20-somethings could ever afford to spend on audio gear. But wait, is the reason they don't chime in because of our collective age or our whine-fest? Or are they the on-in-t...

Re: Focus mode & drop-down
I love the concept, like Spill mode for the rack (spill will hide all mixer channels not feeding the track you click on, so you “spill” the drum bus and only the drum channels are shown on screen - don’t remember why it’s called spill, comes from live mixers IIRC). Basically a way to visually “solo”...

Re: Looks like Reason Studios have redesigned their site...
Site looks great on mobile. Don't know why there's 4 pages of (i presume) complaints about it. Because apparently the last thing any of us really want to talk about here is making music with Reason. Sure, we may eventually do it. But only after making multiple posts in the latest complaint thread f...

Re: Looks like Reason Studios have redesigned their site...
Lol the average age of this forum's users must be like 50. I'm 46 so I can poke fun. We are not the demographic *any* company is targeting. It's no wonder RS barely chimes in on this forum anymore. Everything is a whine-fest I'm not so sure - this is the age that allows expensive hobbies and many f...

Re: Notes in sequencer clip, sizes...
I think the single note size is the default, and as you add more notes it just shrinks to fit so that no notes are excluded. As to why, I guess it would possibly be that the alternative was somehow worse. That makes sense to me, that you'd want to prioritize seeing all recorded note data when viewin...

Re: How to choose a good Sound Card
Wait, the ONLY thing you changed was the cable? I thought you were ALSO switching from the line outputs to the headphone outputs, which SHOULD be louder (possibly more distorted too for a few reasons). I changed the cable and plugged it into the headphone input of the sound card(from the speakers)....

Re: How to choose a good Sound Card
Do you mean AUX In? https://www.jbl.com/studio-monitors/JBL-104-BT.html I don't know if that's OK. If you have a split cable try the headphones TRS output on your audio interface, to the Left/Right TS of the JBL. Control the level with the headphones knob. Try that first. I tried that. The sound le...

Re: How to choose a good Sound Card
A big step up from your Presonus Interface would be a Audient Id14 mk2, what I owned and what’s now my brothers Interface. It’s has really nice preamps and Converter quality is on par with my RME FirefaceUC. The driver and virtual mixer is very comfortable to use, really fast latency’s, it comes wi...

Re: How to choose a good Sound Card
I wonder if the issue is that this interface is USB powered, and doesn’t have as much power as other interfaces?
I don’t know if these are the “best” interfaces, but I’ve had good experiences with both the Scarlett and Clarett line of interfaces by Focusrite.

Re: Why are there only two CV inputs and outputs in Complex-1?
Just put it in a Combinator. You'll have CV access to pretty well every parameter. I was thinking the same thing. Preach. I was just thinking there is one big advantage to doing this, which is you get control over stepped controls such as the octave switch on oscillators, which is otherwise impossi...

Re: “Why Modern Digital Synthesis Is More Analog Than Analog” - Mark Barton
I love software, I love hardware, I love analog, I love digital. I use each for different things.
I really do not understand the idea of drawing a line and only choosing from only one side of the line.

Re: How to choose a good Sound Card
I have to wonder if it’s the other way around. The sound card looks fine, it’s the monitors that look more like the weak link here. I make gear decisions based on the weak link, meaning I look at my tools and first make sure I have one of everything I need. If my needs include a mic, an interface, m...

Re: Reason Studios 30th Anniversary Live Stream
Wow, 30 years ago I helped review the release of ReCycle for Electronic Musician, and I got the license (and the job) because I had Sample Cell and a Mac computer and the other writer didn’t. So technically I didn’t purchase it, but I’ve been on the “Prop/RS” train for the entire ride even though I ...

Re: What SPL (decibel) meter to buy?
You don’t need to separately measure SPL to use REW. The test mic, even a cheep one from Behringer is plenty fine in my experience. The test mic will be far more accurate any any phone or hand held SPL meter anyway, so don’t worry about it. I agree any phone app, especially the better ones, will be...

Since this is a forum, it is about sharing opinions and having discussions. I wholeheartedly agree with that. Re: How Reason's coarse knobs & sliders work?
Reason's knobs and faders move in steps, not tiny increments. A quantization function rounds user input to the nearest available step value. Step size depends on the parameter, wordle unlimited user interaction, and doesn't rely on pre-defined tables. Not unless you specify it in the code. As I've ...

Re: API 560 inspired graphic EQ (free/stock REs)
Here's the SSL version, should all be working good - it is SO much closer to the original... I downloaded your version. You basically use the SSL EQ to implement a static graphic EQ. The Q-factor of all the bands is fixed. I'm not sure which API model you are looking at, but the 560 has this specif...

Re: API 560 inspired graphic EQ (free/stock REs)
This must have been a pretty decent undertaking! So I don't enjoy saying this doesn't quite look/sound right, at least when comparing to my UA version (API Vision). Side note, I always used the 550s for drums, for which they are legend - but the graphic was known for electric guitars in my (Nashvill...

Re: Shock Mount vs Me
I’ve been around those my entire life and still can’t string one up without looking at instructions. The first mic I ever had with a mount like that is the NT1. I got that in like 2009 so like 15 years ago. I have no excuse. Last night I was using the TF11. I really like the sound of that mic. For ...
