Re: How many new users aware of Rewards?
I've never paid any attention to Rewards, but I'm looking for a RE synth with a "modern" sound and a large pool of presets so I might use mine on ReSpire. I think it's the best synth RE and even though it's been abandoned (i think) it still has the sound I'm looking for, and there are literally a bi...

Re: (Berlin School / Synthwave) Warmwater Crescent
70s Tangerine Dream is my favorite version of them, and you nailed their sound. I like this a lot. Puts me in the same moody space as TD. I'd like to hear a version with your 3rd party plugins though, particularly using Arturia's Moog Modular.
Very well done.

Re: How have the introductions of VSTs changed how you use Reason?
Have you all never used another DAW, like EVER? VSTs have been in floating windows since the beginning of time. And now Reason is one big floating window.

Re: F'.em Has Been Released
It sounds like it can do ambient and the more light and airy patches really well, however the lagginess and slowdown in Logic for me is a deal-breaker. I just couldn't handle it anymore because it became super annoying. Haven't tried it in Reason yet. It's also been a long time that a plugin crashed...

Re: F'.em Has Been Released
F'.em crashed Logic on me as I was doing this and it is so laggy on my system that I gave up halfway. I tried it on another Mac and it was equally as laggy. Not worth it. The sound is average, the user interface issues ruins it. It's not a smooth experience and it just feels unstable to me. This thi...

Re: F'.em Has Been Released
The intro price window annoys me. It's an unecessary super-short artificial time constraint that's not going to psychologically trick me into buying it now. Traction usually have a 50% Black Friday sale. Should be around $90 in November. I can wait. It doesn't show me enough right now to make me wan...

Re: F'.em Has Been Released
Just have to say that after being teased with this for what seemed like years (in reality, a few months), my excitement un-bonered a long time ago. The patch demo on that page is weak, with patches that would have been great 10 years ago during the golden age of dubstep (lots of growls and wobbles):...

Re: SSL - Free Update to Channel Strip & Bus Comp + A Cool Bonus
I love the way the BUS compressor is managed on the 360. You can edit all your bus compressors without leaving the 360 screen. The seperate output meters are a sweet bonus. After playing with the 360 a lot this weekend, I already know this is going to be the way I want to work from now on. Screen Sh...

Re: SSL - Free Update to Channel Strip & Bus Comp + A Cool Bonus
Perhaps I am overlooking something, but doesn't Reason already accurately model the SSL9000K mixing desk and glue compressor? I understand this being useful for other DAWS, but not sure what advantage there is within Reason. Lol, I didn't even think of Reason the DAW when I saw this. RRP all the wa...

Re: SSL - Free Update to Channel Strip & Bus Comp + A Cool Bonus
The zoomed view is fantastic. Graphics are so sleek: sl360zoom.jpg I haven't tried it in Reason yet, but the SOLO and CUT buttons on the SSL360 work perfectly with Logic and the volume slider is also mapped to Logic's volume slider. It just doesn't have pan pots, otherwise it would be perfect. But f...

SSL - Free Update to Channel Strip & Bus Comp + A Cool Bonus
First things first - owners of SSL's channel strip and Bus Comp get the V2 updates for free and there are apparently some improvements, particularly to the Bus Comp (supposed to sound better than all other emulations). Some confusion on the internets about the additional new SSL 360 Mixer app and wh...

Re: Here Are Some Cool Logic Pro X + Reason Rack Tips

Re: Here Are Some Cool Logic Pro X + Reason Rack Tips
Like I said, I expect this feature to be enabled in future versions of Logic, but Colorizer is around now if you want that feature now, plus it does more than just that. It's a complete theming app for Logic, and let s you change the color of practically everything. If a utility like this existed fo...

Re: Here Are Some Cool Logic Pro X + Reason Rack Tips
Real quick tip, and this is sort of old news, but for those who don't know, Logic supports colored mixer channels like in Pro Tools - but slight catch for now, (because I expect this option to be in actual Logic in the future) is that it requires the Logic Colorizer app, which is worth a purchase if...

Re: PX7 - Removed from Shop?
While FM8 is my favorite FM synth, I like having a native rack device that loads DX7 patches. I've never paid attention to the sonic differences between PX7 and Dexed, and that's because I didn't notice any. If there ever comes a time where we are allowed to sell REs, PX7 is probably the only one I ...

CROSSFADES I'll show you the super fast way to do this, then I'll go into more detail later. First thing you want to do is make sure you have the "drag" setting up in Logic's toolbar to ' x-fade ': xfade.png Now simply drag one audio file onto another and Logic will do the crossfading for you. cros...

Re: How often do you upgrade Reason?
I used to be an automatic upgrader - like no matter what, I upgraded. Stuck on 10 for the longest time, and even though I technically just upgraded to R11 cuz of the $80 deal, it wasn't really for R11, it was for the R11 + free R12 combo. R11 was such a joke of an update. Kind of getting that feelin...
