Re: Softube Amp Room anybody?
I like Amproom! Definitely wasn't impressed with the built in Reason or Live amps, but Amproom has that oldschool POD Farm vibe where you just choose from virtual gear, where some plugins (specifically Neural DSP) seem to be going more towards the self-contained product thing like, well this amp has...

Re: Mixing just with the SSL Channels
Yeah sometimes I do this to get me in the right ballpark. You just need to remember to enable the Inserts Pre button as anything you do in the SSL will happen before it hits things like distortion, modulation, etc. that you may use in the inserts slot (unless of course that's what you want to do!).

Re: Reason is Amazing!
I have many other DAW's (5 of them to be exact) and Reason seems to always be the only one I use for music. Pro Tools for Post Production. If I can do any Post Production work in Reason I will. Reason is just so easy to use without thought, it's like riding a bike. Exactly! it's weird though becaus...

Re: Reason is Amazing!
Always nice to remind ourselves what it CAN do. On my PC I have Cubase 12 Pro, Live Suite 11, Reason 12, Studio One, Maschine Studio...guess which one I use like 90% of the time, despite all the things those other DAWs have that I really like? There's just something about it. Even if I do end up usi...

Re: Maschine getting VST3 support
Okay tried it out; parameter names are still kinda long and hard to read, so I don't know what that's about. But I mean, it's not the end of the world. I also noticed the VST3 window does not resize when the browser is opened. Not sure who I should flag that with, RS or NI? But yeah overall, really ...

Re: Maschine getting VST3 support
This is very good news for me - I would much rather use RRP than just about any of the synths in Komplete. I just know them better and can work faster. Interested to see how macro integration works with it though. I remember when I used to use it on Mac, it was just a jumble of very long and unreada...

Already on it! Just got through watching a friend do vocals on stream, got another couple hours of work on the music then it’s away. I think it’s on point, but we’ll see!

Re: Reason 12.2.9 Release Notes
I'm so glad that over a year later my decision that R12 slow rollout really wasn't worth buying into was right. I do hope that they pull there fingers out and release the next major version with a complete feature set like the good old days before the take over ;) I mean is Reason HiRes actually wo...

Re: Problems with search in 12.2.9d40
I didn’t get lockups but searching did break for me. I moved the index v4 and v5 files out of the %localappdata%\Propellerhead Software\Reason folder and relaunched the program. Initially didn’t work but after about 4-5 minutes (presumably re indexing) everything was fine! Thanks I'll give that a g...

Re: Reason 12.2.9 Release Notes
Hey just wondering if anyone is getting weird browser search behaviour? Specifically, mine has stopped working haha. Even searching Drum Supply for 'kick' nothing comes up. It just sits there. I'll try a restart maybe. Anyone else getting this? Hey man - I just checked my Windows machine (that infa...

Re: Reason 12.2.9 Release Notes
Oh the Pain of unwanted glitches in visual and sound are now gone. Like Selig and others, I am reaching 64 buffer size, sample rate 48,000 and Max Threads just on Default on a track that had weird glitch problems before this update. Using a i7 3770 3.4Ghz Win10 - Behringer UMC404HD - It seems flawl...

Re: Reason 12.2.9 Release Notes
The last update 12.2.8 REMOVED the "Sort Selected Devices" feature (which I find indispensable for keeping projects organized) because it could corrupt reason files in some cases. Their exact word in the release notes was "yikes". They said they were working to get it back real soon. I will not be ...

Re: are we going to see more perpetual versions ?
Yeah like it's already been mentioned but VST3 support is, for now, exclusively a standalone thing. And while we're all still waiting on <insert shiny new feature here> there have actually been a fair few maintenance updates to the core program since R+ rolled out. I feel like the bug fixes and smal...

Re: How to sidechain in Reason, exactly? Is there an easy way?
My favourite method atm is using Devious Machines Duck VST, strapping it onto a bus with the things I want side chained and then just triggering by MIDI (or gate out if the source instrument has it). If I’m doing audio, I use send 8, into a spider, and then in the SSL enable send 8 for the kick to 0...

Re: ”Shut the fuck up and use the software. It's great.”
As the owner of multiple DAWs I can say with confidence none of them are perfect. None. If I'm in Live I miss audio pitch editing. If I'm in Reason I miss folder/group tracks. If I'm in Cubase I miss Reason's automation. If I'm in FL I miss *being in a normal-ass DAW that works how DAWs should* ;). ...

Any Roland TR/MC users here?
In case you missed it, Roland just dropped a couple of amazing updates for their MCX0X and TRXS devices. I have the 101 and 6S. And while they're kinda cool, and it's mildly amusing to program in a little beat and see it follow along with your song, there was always something missing from them that ...

Re: Reason 12.2.8 Release Notes
On the subject of Remote support, anyone know if the Arturia Keylabs Essential 61 is included now? I'd probably consider updating just to get that even if it means temporarily losing the sort feature.
