I just bought Reason 10 upgrade from JRR Shop for £86.
There are no postage costs, as it an email serial code that they send you.

Re: Granular Synthesis VSTs
Another granular sampler to check out is Polygon VST - http://glitchmachines.com/products/polygon/
It's quite cheap, yet powerful. Watch the demo videos.

Re: Granular Synthesis VSTs
I downloaded and tested THE MANGLE today (after reading your comments here) and can confirm it's really really really powerful - especially for drops etc. in dance music (e.g. bounce a few bars of your track and upload into The Mangle - then Mangle away!) Definite purchase. It's pretty stable and CP...

Re: ReSpire RE back in the shop - Still on sale!
Really? How about the four oscillator volume knobs at the top? That's what I jumped for immediately, and was quite shocked that 'edit automation' was greyed out. Also not automatable are the rate and fine knobs in the oscillator control box, four LFO knobs, four envelope knobs, plus none of the but...

Re: ReSpire RE back in the shop - Still on sale!
After trialling this yesterday, I can say it's certainly an unfinished product. Basic expectations of being able to automate knobs is not possible. Quite a number of people are saying you can't automate ReSpire... but I was automating instantly, simply by right clicking on the knob or button and cl...

Re: Free Rack extensions: Real time list
There is a quick way (although not very conventional) to view all FREE RE's. 1. Use the following PH URL: https://shop.propellerheads.se/browse/?product_type=plugins-sounds&pagex=24 (note: the page 24 will get larger as PH add more REs) 2. Press Ctrl+F and type in FREE into search box. (This works o...

Re: Future of REs
Not sure I can relieve you unless we get a proper road-map announcement from PH confirming their intentions that RE will be actively considered/supported going forward. History tells us they will be tight-lipped and surprise us at every turn. This is fine for hobbyist types... but for those where it...

Re: Reason 9.5 – VST in Reason
i just want to warn people with older computers, opening lots of vsts in reason is definitely going to tax your cpu I'd wait until the Release Candidate is dropped before making that statement. The beta has a shit ton of logging code and is not an accurate metric for bench-marking. In fact, many VS...

Re: Free VSTs that don't Suck!
I've been trying out the free VSTs available for download to readers of Computer Music (Uk magazine) and I can report some of them are pretty solid. They have a wide range from synth, samplers, drum machines, dynamics etc. These aren't freeware - but either specifically created for CM or LITE versio...

Re: Reason 9.5 – VST in Reason
When things settle down it will become a lot clearer when it's best to use an RE instead of an VST. I am already finding that the utility and dynamic REs win hands down compared to doing it via VST. Making music is a creative exercise and the least resistance in terms of tools is where you create be...

Re: Reason 9.5 – VST in Reason
Anyone wanting to dip their toe and start their collection of VSTs should consider getting their hands on Computer Music's set of free VSTs. These VSTs are not time-limited - like the free versions of commercial products. I think there is like 60+ devices (covering all genres like synths, drum machi...

Re: Reason 9.5 – VST in Reason
I'll be intentionally vague so as to keep to the terms of the beta test agreement. But I will say this; if you're worried that VSTs will break the Reason "paradigm" or ruin the workflow, worry not. Everything fits in nicely with CV and audio routing. Automation works perfectly. Trust me, I think ev...

Re: Reason 9.5 – VST in Reason
the day reason stopped to be what it was intended to be and became "another DAW". im out. everything after R6 was pointless or simply wrong and this is the conclusion of the developement. there is no point in using reason over any other DAW anymore. So good bye, I think you will like "other" DAWS. ...

Re: Reason 9.5 – VST in Reason
One thing I've been awaiting in Reason for a long time is a much more advanced sampler - beyond NN-XT which has served me well, but always feel like I'm fighting it rather than working with it (especially on the splitting up of samples across the keyboard). VST could be my route to making this happ...

Re: Reason 9.5 – VST in Reason
With such a radical step-up to VST you would have thought it worthy of being called Reason 10. It easily earns a new number. Would love to know the reason for a micro increment from 9.2 to 9.5.
