Re: SSL input knob with attitude .
YES! I've dreamed of other consoles within reason, I've been put it on a couple of "wish list threads" . Giles, I'm glad you talked to the Props guys about this because it could be a great coup. Third party developers could have a field day. Good modeling of the Neve 33609 bus comp.in place of the S...

your not alone I see no point in having it there permanently, hopefully all new user get to a point where they don't need to look up on everything they do. the return to start should be an option on the transporter like enabling loop button and not hidden away in the preference, there are times you...

Oh and thank you for the multiple fader moves!! Very much needed function.
...and the ghost track editing thing, haven't tried it yet but I'm sure it will save lots of time editing a phrase over several tracks.

Screen Shot 2018-09-27 at 4.48.56 PM.png Every Sequencer I've ever loved has had a Play/Start button. A Play Triangle with a vertical dash next to it. And if it didn't, then it had a PAUSE button which is what the Reason button actually does. It pauses, then continues from where it left off. I love...

Goodbye Queen
I spent last night at the Aretha Franklin celebration concert and hanging out with friends, fellow music guys and industry heads. I'm kinda overwhelmed and all up in my feelings... You just take some people for granted. Aretha was an institution here and she was known to pay for young artists studio...

Put the click to 16th notes and do a 4/4/followed by a bar of 1/16? the math works, I dunno if it will actually work. Just throwing it out there.

Re: Any way to avoid the log in window w/subscriptions?
Don't log out? Same problem when you are trialing or beta testing an RE. Understandably, you have to login to the servers so Props can check/update your licenses for products that may expire (ie, you don't own). I don't think there is any way around this. If you don't want to see the login window, ...

Re: Any way to avoid the log in window w/subscriptions?
did you check the remember password box? yeah, that helps me from having to put the password in every time, but I'm asking for not having to even SEE the window at all. I own Reason, and I don't have to log-in everytime to prove my license is valid, why do I have to do it for the RE subscriptions? ...

In many cases, They would mostly be the channel strips and the master sections. you wouldn't use the various incompatible monitor sections, faders, the 8bus master section, or the various routing matrix's.

Actual modeled consoles
I've posted about this a few times and I'm sure others have done so as well; Imagine a Softube Trident console, a "Slate" Neve console or "UAD" UAD console. I'm not talking skins here, but full-on modeled emulations which sound and behave like their HW channels/consoles....within reason, from within...

It's a great idea!
I would like to also see different well modeled and emulated consoles created by 3rd parties.

Any way to avoid the log in window w/subscriptions?
When using subscription based REs, is there a way to avoid the log-in gizmo? I hope so, beecause I'm getting log-in fatigue. I can understand logging in once, but upon every launch is tedious. One would think that it could be automatic.; Launch Reason and Reason checks to see if subscriptions are up...

Re: What features are REALLY necessary for Reason 11
What he said was; for sequencer tracks in the Rack and Mixer views At the least, add a “Mute All Off” and “Solo All Off” for sequencer tracks in the Rack and Mixer views, in addition to the buttons for the mixer mute/solo (which should ALSO be duplicated in Rack View). This serves two purposes. First...

Re: What features are REALLY necessary for Reason 11
Also, I would really like to take the solo and mute functions out of the undo list. People usually undo edits, deletes and tweaks, not solo. It's a bit tedious to go undo solo- undo transpose- undo unsolo - undo solo- undo change value -undo unsolo- undosolo- undo load patch.

How about the VST right in the rack rather than inside the wrapper? It's irritating to have to open a VS each time... Re: What features are REALLY necessary for Reason 11
+1 to all (almost)… I love all of these suggestions, except #5 is impossible to do since you can’t combine two totally different functions into one just because they have the same name. I don’t know all other DAWs, but can speak for Pro Tools which has separate mute/solo for MIDI and Audio tracks. ...

Re: What features are REALLY necessary for Reason 11
LOL Yes!! But I'm horrifically old school. I "consolidate all" in Protools and rarely work with playlists while cutting vocals, just one full take, then another on another track... then I comp by section, not phrase or line, then consolidate so the file is one big file. I did playlists all the time ...

Re: What features are REALLY necessary for Reason 11
Yeah that's my take as well. Would be nice to have the choice though. It's not urgent, but I do find myself bouncing/exporting more often than I want. In my experience, I don’t often have a single audio file for a track like vocals, which is more typically made up of multiple takes. So even when wo...

Re: What features are REALLY necessary for Reason 11
If I pan and route a Kong pad to an output, then change the sound, the pad should still be routed to that output. If you load new sample to the pad, it should stay intact. If you however load new Kong preset, then obviously it disappears as - technically - you've deleted old Kong and replaced it wi...

Re: What features are REALLY necessary for Reason 11
The main takeaway I would assume is that Reason is designed for the more casual (not necessarily less professional) user that would rather spend their limited time on production than on file management. Not that I agree with their decisions in many cases, I’m just suggesting that this may be their ...

Re: I'd Like To Do Almost Everything From The Sequencer View
That's great Idea OP. and I especially like the idea of Pan and Volume on the sequencer track. Protools, Logic and others do that easily enough with little faders above the Mute Solo buttons. Even though I use the Mac, three finger swipe to all three full windows, I like Giles' idea of slide and pee...
