Re: Best Remoteable Sequencer and Drum Players
Players can be Remoteable though, it's just that devs aren't adding the capability. Redrum is actually very good at this but it's more or less alone. It works better with Redrum because it isn’t an RE, so it has capabilities that are not currently possible with the RE SDK. So it’s not a matter of R...

Re: METACORE (Correlation Meter)
Just using this at the moment and I think there is still a bug. Load the attached Combinator containing a Redrum triggering a mono sample. Metacore's meter moves into red Mono Compatibility Risk section of the meter but the signal is completely mono. If you compare this to the phase meter in Rob Pap...

Best Remoteable Sequencer and Drum Players
What are the best Players out there that have good Remote mapping? I need things like Step On/Off, a playback light, perhaps even velocity levels. The Players I have only have very basic Remote mapping and I think I don't have any that allow even toggling steps on and off. The best device in Reason ...

Seems a bit too current to age well I think. Perhaps something a little less trendy would have been wiser.

Re: about this forum and threads (speaking in generally)
The music posted here is all kinds of different genres, with the only thing they have in common is that it was all made with Reason. I usually look elsewhere to listen to music in genres that I am interested,

Re: Logic Pro is coming to iPad
A laptop is portable and can be had for less than an iPad these days. The only advantage I can think of is the multitouch which often isn't needed. This is just the starting point for Apple, Think 10 years in the future - then you‘ll have hybrid devices: as a tablet on the go, and as stationary com...

Re: AI - Cheating or just evolution?
So I keep seeing videos and articles saying that they've been able to get this things to code or create simple scripts and debug them. Has anyone managed to create anything useful for music production in Reason? Not graphics, I know it can do that.

Re: Reason 12.6 Released (Apple Silicon, Offline Mode)
Lots of complaining here about the licence validation. Just to say that for me it is a huge improvement. I think getting rid of CodeMeter will give RS more options also, so I see this all as a step in the right direction.

The top level of the right click menu should have Rack 1, Rack 2 etc so at the very least you immediately know which Rack column you are looking at.

Re: Anyone here into Reason compact?
I opened it for the first time in a couple of years during a flight recently. Did a quick sketch but overall it's crippleware as anything other than the most basic controls are paid for only and you can no longer buy them in any case. So nice idea but I think they would have had more success with it...

Re: Mixing 2 Songs Together like DJ'ing in the Sequencer!
It'd be easier if they were modern tracks. Older tracks often have drift or edits that mean they don't import well to the sequencer. If you have a modern track and can figure out the tempo then it is much easier. I built a basic track player using Mimic if you want to have a go at this mix as if it ...

Re: Why is Reason Lacking in so many popular DAW lists for 3rd party products
I have to agree with that. When every hardware manufacturer decides you're not important enough to support then it's up to Reason Studios to employ someone to do this and not simply keep repeating the line that it's up to manufacturers. Things have improved a little recently but previously the list ...

Re: iVoks electro musical synth
I have the RE but I'm not in front of my computer. From what I recall the hardware has a unison mode but it's only a duophonic synth so perhaps that explains why it doesn't sound like other synths in unison mode?

Re: Interest over time
I think it's fairly well understood that PH lost a lot of users in the years before Record, even though they had the best head start any music company could wish for in the early 2000s. That stubborness that stopped them adding audio input, audio tracks, MIDI out and plugin support and keep trying t...

Re: Re173 Preamp & EQ
Demoing this and it sounds good but there is a digital squeaking / crackling as I change settings. I think there needs to be some smoothing on the controls as this is something I've encountered when beta testing other REs.

Not in Kong but I think Tonerows player does this or if not Robotic Bean's TM-1 would work.
