Remote Maps for Hades VMC-207
The Hades VMC-207 is an obscure Midi controller to control mixers that was available in the early 2000s. https://www.hispasonic.com/noticias/superficie-control-hades-music-vmc-207/760 These remote files are for controlling the main SSL mixer in Reason. The project is currently abandoned and unsuppor...

Re: Akai Midimix Overlays with Remote Mapping
I don't think the price is low considering the time that will have gone into these. If these were physical products I don't think that would add much to the cost as the cost is mainly time spent making the graphics. Anyone who thinks this is expensive could have a go at creating their own version an...

The RPG8 can act as a MIDI CV convertor and Robotic Bean do some Audio to CV utilities.

Re: Automate Combinator run switch
My goal is to trigger the Players devices inside a Combinator anywhere i want from the main Sequencer. It´s like a clip launcher poor version in Reason Daw, instead of trigger them all at same time. If i can automate the Combinator´s run switch i can control when and where it start and stop. I know...

And another one here showing single operator feedback for the synths that allow this. There could be errors in this, for example I wasn't sure how to set this up for Complex-1. Would have liked to have seen this but still happily using R10, did anything stand out as odd or better or worse than the ...

Re: Life by XLN Audio
Looks good. I always think that it would make sense to do an update where OctoREX and Redrum are split into Player / Instrument pairs so that you could add the sequencing section of these devices to any instrument. These Reason 1 devices (Matrix also) are so useful and I still prefer using them to t...

Pulveriser has a HPF I think. Plus there's one in the Phaser RE.

Re: Phaser-DDL Rack Extension released!
Bought. Awesome, thanks! That didn't take long. I have just the track that needs this and it sounds much, much better than what I was using before. Plus it's always good to see high quality emulations in RE format. The cycle accurate thing is a big plus as opposed to the many 'inspired by' style VS...

Re: Rack Extension vs VST plug-in prices
I'm a RE only user with a couple of exceptions. I use VSTs for certain kinds of metering (phase, key detection) but these are temporary and are removed from the Song. The only two instruments I have are the Korg M1 and Wavestation VSTs. I'd have preferred to buy these as REs but as they're emulation...

Instabought Zero and Expanse. To not buy them at that price would be a direct personal insult to the developer.

FM Sweep Comparisons
Yesterday I saw a couple of videos on FM synthesis, so I thought I'd do some comparisons between the FM synths I have to see their strengths and weaknesses. So here is a Song files containing a bunch of FM Sweeps with 1:1 ratio between Operator and Modulator. Yes, a bit boring but every now and then...

Re: Roland - GALAXIAS "Super Instrument" VST for Roland Cloud
Roland have done their homework on this. The GUI seems to be very good and easier to use than the Combinator. Setting max and min settings in the Combi programmer is fiddly as it is very small and sensitive to tiny movements and you can't enter values using a keyboard. Reason is very capable and pow...

Could be aimed more at the DJ booth. You can change double for anything DJ related compared to music production. Just look at the prices of a 4 channel mixer.

Re: Change tempo keyboard shortcut RANT
Playing live, the B key is a problem as it suddenly puts Reason into Blocks mode and there is no sync between Blocks sequencer position and the Main sequencer position. Playing live, it is better to use a Keyboard Override to map the B key to something harmless such as an unused Mixer mute button. S...

It's good for playing live. But yeah I appreciate how people might find it more of a hindrance than a help.stillifegaijin wrote: ↑08 Nov 2023Add my voice to the small choir. The tempo change key commands drives me crazy! I can think of no useful case or need for this.

Re: Remote Variations: How do they work?
I just tried this in a Remote map I am working on and it looks like Select Next / Previous Keyboard Shortcut Variation can only be set up for the Reason document. This means if you have more than one MIDI controller, when you change the variation, it will change the variation for ALL of your MIDI co...

Re: Remote Variations: How do they work?
I found the example from the Remote documentation. Define Group -> Keyboard Shortcut Variations -> Ch1-8 -> Ch9-14 This defines variations that can be selectable from within Reason. There can be up to ten variations, named as desired. In this case there are two, "Ch1-8" and "Ch9-14". It looks like t...
