Step Note Recorder
How can you get it to groove with just shuffle? Most of these midi sequencers are useless to me without the ability to apply ReGrove to them. No ReGrove, no Note To Track for RE's... Reason blows on this chapter. Actually you can apply ReGroove, although the process is a little involved... You have...

Everything except individual step properties and the Record button can be automated I would had thought this would be a pretty essential feature TO have for this type of device ...... ???? Just to clarify, everything except the Record button is Remotable, so you can do most of the programming from ...

Thanks for all the responses so far, I'm glad that most of you seem to be as excited as we are!
There will be more in-depth videos once Step is released and we've been able to get some rest!

Reason 8.2 Update is Available!
I think it would make the most sense to only zoom horizontally on the pinch gesture, since (I believe) it would be the most common operation by far... Zooming both axes simultaneously would probably be the most annoying behaviour possible. :-) (That's another gripe I have with the Cmd + scroll optio...

Reason 8.2 Update is Available!
Yes, i know, but it still requires both hands, so I end up using G/H instead. Support for pinch-to-zoom would be a huge workflow improvement, in my opinion. I find myself trying to do it subconsciously all the time since so many other apps (Pages, Photoshop, etc) support it...

Reason 8.2 Update is Available!
Since almost all my gripes with Reason 8 were fixed in this update (especially Revert!) I finally bit the bullet and bought the upgrade today. Nice with the improved track pad scrolling. In the next update, please add track pad zooming in the sequencer as well! (Horizontal only). It would be nice to...

Selig Audio Entire Product Line 50% off!!!
So I log in to the shop to grab Gain... and I can't seem to press the "Purchase" button when I choose to pay with a debit card. Could ONLY use Paypal. And, from Paypal, it wouldn't allow me to change to my bank account or my credit cards... I had to use my balance. The little info "?" noted that th...

Is this the end of bad Midiclocks?
The only RE they've done so far is the Silent Way Voice Controller, and they were not too impressed with the sales it generated. That's why I'm guessing they won't think it's worthwhile to develop another RE to support the Usamo. But this is only speculation on my part, and I really hope I'm wrong!

Is this the end of bad Midiclocks?
I doubt that we will see another RE from Expert Sleepers (based on comments they've made earlier), so I hope that it's possible to reverse-engineer the signal format somehow. If not, I'm afraid that Reason users will be SOL...

System 9 Pattern Sequencer in the shop!
Actually you can remote map display-only parameters as well, provided that the developer has made them remoteable of course! For example the mutes and velocities in Euclid. You can't right-click in the display to map them, but if you activate "Remote Override Edit Mode" you should see a bunch of arr...

Remote control over momentary buttons?
Does anyone here have a sustain pedal, by the way? Could you please try remote controlling a button with it -- preferrably a momentary button (and even better if it's Euclid's reser button ;-)), but it's not necessary. I'm curious to know whether the sustain pedal acts as a proper momentary control....

Remote control over momentary buttons?
Buddard Hamu's devices ModPanel/Newtrol have two rows of buttons - one row preset for momentary behavior, one row for toggle behavior. You can even change the default behavior of the rows. Would it be possible to program the reset button in Euclid to only act as a momentary button? Ironically, in s...

Remote control over momentary buttons?
I'm trying to map my MIDI controller to a momentary button (Reset button in Euclid), and I'm getting unexpected results: It seems that no matter what I map to the button, if it's a physical button on my controller (Evolution MK-249C) or a MIDI note, it will toggle the button instead of pressing it m...

Reaktor like Rack extension designer
You might want to look into Gen for Max MSP. I haven't tried it myself, but apparently it can generate AU/VST code, which you could probably port to RE with a reasonable effort. You would have to redo all the plumbing and UI, of course, but at least the DSP code could be generated... Another interes...

PX-7 Operators Must Need Additive Waveforms( Title Edited )
For what it's worth, the Yamaha TX-81Z (from 1987 I think) has 8 different waveforms, but on the other hand it's limited to only 4 operators. I wonder if adding those waveforms to the PX-7 would allow it to faithfully recreate TX-81Z presets as well? Or perhaps there are other differences between th...
