Re: Mimicking analog mixer "coloration" in Reason?
Here's one idea using Thor as a coloration unit. It uses the Delay and Chorus to color the tone. Both units are set on 0 ms delay but somehow there's some interesting phasing going on. Add some Feedback and you will hear that the bass will become almost too much to handle. Analog STEREO Filter.thor....

Re: Mimicking analog mixer "coloration" in Reason?
I believe that with tape or analog equipment: - the levels might not be 100% the same all the time - the noise levels is changing slightly all the time - the amount an color of saturation changes all the time This randomness is rather small but I believe it's just enough to keep it sounding lively. ...

I use Gumroad. But I might move to Woocommerce using WordPress because I love DIY and having full control over everything.

Re: I've lost my mojo.
I've had periods where I started to hate computer generated music. Because it is so easy to create a few bars save it and start another idea. In the end you might end up with many tracks which are sounding interesting but which are not finished. Sometimes I feel that these ideas only come from sound...

Re: Mimicking analog mixer "coloration" in Reason?
for me you need:
- noise
- hum
- harmonics/saturation
- channel leaking
- phasing issue
- all of the above with a random parameter and amount parameter
I am building these kind of Combinators myself. kinda fun. to un-bore stuff that's looping etc.
key might be randomness.

Re: Universal Audio
You're mistaken. Propellerhead isn't giving away UAD Apollo. Taylor Guitars is. Reason 9 just happens to be apart of the giveaway package. The link is on the Taylor site https://t.go.taylorguitars.com/webApp/tg_APP40?utm_source=fb_propellerhead%20&utm_medium=social_pd&utm_campaign=home_studio_sweep...

Maybe but why would anyone use that UAD soundcard with Reason? That DSP on that thing has nothing to do all the time... kinda strange.miscend wrote:Not gonna happen. Plus UAD stuff is crazy expensive even compared to Softube.

And no, Selig Gain is not adding any DC offset!

Re: New blogpost: Saturation in the RE-2A (and DC-offset issues in Reason)
before I start, I have to put out the caveat that I don't get too into the hyper-technical side of things like this, so my understanding is rudimentary at best... that said, I have a couple of questions... is this something that could be caused by Selig Gain, instead of RE-2A? or does it happen whe...

Re: New blogpost: Saturation in the RE-2A (and DC-offset issues in Reason)
But wouldn't be re-aligning the audio be much better? If I fix DC-offset with Audacity it sounds different from using a HP filter. HP adds some resonance as well maybe... From a signal processing perspective, you can't re-align DC offset in realtime, because you need to calculate the average of the...

New blogpost: Saturation in the RE-2A (and DC-offset issues in Reason)
You can have saturation fun with the RE-2A but DC-offset in Reason is a real issue and needs to be taken car of imo. Read: http://melodiefabriek.com/blog/saturati ... dc-offset/
