Re: Do you still buy REs?

Yea, still buying, but way less than before. Maybe because i have already everything i need and now looking out for something really new or adding something special. I now skip the 10nth delay, EQ, chorus, phaser, subtractive synth, etc. even if they are free or cheap. Yep the last time I bought EQ...

Re: Synapse GQ-7: Still Good??

As for Lo q ue saying no CV... I assume you are meaning literal CV... as you can automate everything you want in there. So - sweep the bands as you like with automation etc. Exactly. Having a modulation going on and being able to change root value in the GUI without interferences is pretty cool stu...

Re: disable selecting all notes in row when piano roll double click occurs

I use it for separating drum tracks Honestly, I don't understand how do you mean this...could you please show the scenario with animated GIF ? Lets think you put a Kong into Reason and start editing your drums in the sequencer. In 90% of all cases i edit just one sequencer lane and all drums are in...

Re: disable selecting all notes in row when piano roll double click occurs

I like that feature. I use it for separating drum tracks (ofc i would like to see a feature a la "separate all to individual lanes"). I thought it was with a modifier key only, maybe i was wrong.

Re: Synapse GQ-7: Still Good??

Clean display, better resolution, fcking easy to use, more bands, more slopes, easy to make a dynamic EQ, viewing all connected Q3 in the display to identify frequency overlaps and occupation, adjustable phase, CPU efficient, ... Its just x times better and more versatile. My go to EQ. It just lack...

You can also buy Reason and get Thorn quite cheap:

Its a different beast, but much cheaper atm.

Re: Synapse GQ-7: Still Good??

Generally GQ-7 is my general purpose go-to EQ. Great sound quality, easy to use, and I also really like the auto-gain-compensate feature which makes mixing easier (because it helps avoid the louder=better trap when boosting for example). Its still a good one. I replaced it with Q3, but still use it...

Re: reFX Vanguard, what happend to it?

Is that the programmer behind tone2 now as heard the icarus developer was involved with vanguard? That was Markus Krause. Looks like he did large part of the job with Vanguard. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vanguard_(synthesizer) Interesting...I am eyeing the Tone2 synths a while, but till now they...

Re: Synapse Audio Dune 3 released!

Wow... This just sounds amazing! ... Hard to believe these all sounds come out from the same VST... Very huge amount of different sounds. And these are all in the factory sound bank that comes with the Dune3? Its famous for super saw EDM stuff, but it can produce nearly everything. Its a bi...

Discontinued since quite a long time. I liked it back than, i was really impressed with the sound and fx. Guess today a super saw synth does not sell as much as expensive ROMpler.

Re: Need a dry / wet knob for scream 4?

I've done some testing a while back and the issue is that Scream not only does distortion in terms of waveshaping but also some non-linear-phase filtering. A dry/wet knob would result in a bunch of notches in the frequency spectrum which changes the end result a lot and not in a natural/pleasant wa...

Re: A Case For Mixing Entirely With Reason's SSL

Thankfully they added the SSL stuff to the rack! I was waiting quite long for that, makes things easier here and there! I thought in the past, that the SSL EQ is just crap, but now i think it sounds quite musical. Its not for surgical operations, but for changing the overall tone of a track and i th...

Re: How to fix crappy loop points in Refills

No Rex files involved, just an NN-XT patch from a Refill that is looping the Wav, but it has clicks in the looping due to sloppy work. Thought I could fix it in the sample editor. I guess, I just have to skip it and move on. You can fix it in the sample editor (fading, etc.) or in case of bad loop ...

Re: How to fix crappy loop points in Refills

I was referring to loop points in the wav sample that has clicks, or the locators are set poorly so the looping is audible. Say a string wav file that is inside NN-XT and the wav+patch originates from a Refill. Is there an easy way to just fix the loop, add crossfade and resave it? Reason tells me ...

If it’s a Rex file bounce it to audio and cut off the crap. If you’ve got recycle I guess you could make it a Rex again.
You can also create Rex files from Reason.
