Re: How much money (roughly) do Audio Engineers make?
I ask for two reasons. One is because at one point long ago in the pre digital age I wanted to be one myself. But also because of the numbers of people here and elsewhere who fret (a lot) over the prices of upgrades or plugins. I ended up being a computer programmer back in the late 80s and now I'm...

Re: Reason is going DOWN HILL FAST - Zero CARE about Efficiency anymore.
This thread, after all the discussion of ReSpire being an awful CPU hog. Also, make sure your ReSpire is up to date. It is up to date. And it used to be that reason was just reason and the propellerhead devices. But that's not what it is anymore. It's an entire ecosystem. I kind of feel like propel...

Re: Reason is going DOWN HILL FAST - Zero CARE about Efficiency anymore.
ReSpire is a buggy cpu hog. Yes is sounds great but it is unusable til they fixed that problem... The vst version works much better... I've never heard respire produce any kind of sound whatsoever that a propellerhead device or combination of devices couldn't easily produce. Sent from my XT1575 usi...

Re: Reason is going DOWN HILL FAST - Zero CARE about Efficiency anymore.
Respire is the worst. But the principle holds true for most devices that are not propellerhead devices. So many of them seem to take incredible liberties with processing power resources.esselfortium wrote:Are you having this problem with other synths, or only with Spire?

Re: Ochen K?
Most criticism anywhere is distasteful, regardless of what forum, RE or VST, etc. I disagree, I welcome criticism of my work. If someone criticises what I'm doing, I'm open to hearing what they have to say. I wouldn't regard them or their criticism distasteful. But the manner in which the criticism...

Re: Ochen K?
The nature in which criticisms are dished out in these forums is so distasteful, its no real surprise that some people are probably going to keep away from making REs and move on to developing VSTs. The way the thread for 4mer synthesiser got handled was a little bit bullish. There is quite a lot o...

If someone is desperate for 3d looks, get a Playstation I'd much prefer the Xbox One X, instead. [emoji38] In all seriousness, this seems rather dismissive, though. Much of the GUI/UX criticism is valid, as far as modernized interfaces are concerned. I mean, I love Reason and the RE platform, but c...

Untitled-1.jpg I get it, I think that the interactive panels could not have this level of details, its not totally 3d, but just seems more polished/advanced, even the buttons at the bottom are not totally 3d but not flat either. Anyway I have nothing againts Europa UI, its all fine, and I understan...

i really hope they fix the graphics glitchy slow down and frame rate issues for Mac OS Sierra. I am using a GTX 970 inside of my Mac Pro (pre trash can model)....and it lags like heck. DSP spikes through the roof with kong....yes just KONG. Yeah, performance has been increasingly in a nose dive, ev...

1. MIDI Routing A player device where you can select multiple MIDI Inputs/Channels and route it out via CVs or other players. Perhaps even key zones and remote switching to enable disable multiple MIDI outs. 2. CV Routing A player that allows you to use CV inputs to be routed to the sequencer autom...

Re: Reason 10 announced!
For the new buyer Reason 10 offers fantastic value, and maybe thats where their marketing was directed to for Reason 10? Exactly. For new customers it is a good deal. They get lots of good things to get started. Tbh, that made me hop into Reason years back. Existing customers already have enough co...

Re: Reason 10 announced!
I'll clarify. If VSTs are more compatible across DAWs , they could have more value, so if PH released the new synths as stand alone REs, they may not sell as well as making them only available as an upgrade. I'm not sure about that... If they released them as standalone REs, you would be waiting fa...

Re: Reason 10 announced!
Europa and Grain alone seem worth the price of admission. Seems like they've been paying attention the REs that people are buying and using (i.e. things like Expanse and Proton). I'm excited to play with these new toys. Grain looks way to over simplified for a granular synth engine. It's like one o...

If this is it, then they haven't listened to anything their users have been saying. At all. It actually looks like they haven't updated the app in any way. They are saying 'The Biggest Update. but can't help thinking, why didn't they update some of the devices they already have such as the Combinator, Thor and the NN-XT? . I'm always surprised that so few people understand this idea. How would you feel if 5 years from now or 10 years from now you decided to pull out one of your old compo...

8. Update factory instruments . Do people really not understand the logical reasons for why the original factory instruments will never be changed?? They'll add new instruments, but they will never update the originals. Learn how to create patches, or buy some. Sent from my XT1575 using Tapatalk

I would much rather that they create a per-user wish list in the store, so that you could Mark all of the products that you want, so that you can keep track of them all, and would notify you if any of them went on sale.

Re's and VSTs compatibility
It should be a crime to create rack extensions or vsts that are os dependent. You can easily wind up in a situation where a rack extension or VST is chained to one version of an operating system yet the Daw that you're hosting it in could be on a different limit. Makes no sense. I think the rack ext...

OK this is probably pretty basic for some of you, so help a brother out who is clueless. I have Proton. I want to make a wave file of my voice. I go into Reason and create an audio track. I talk into a mic and record it in Reason. Now I have the sound source I want to use. How do I take that audio ...
