Billboard Magazine: INSIDE ABLETON, THE MUSIC SOFTWARE COMPANY EVERYONE WANTS TO BUY
For Behles, that independence isn’t just for now. Sitting in the Ableton office, he elaborates on the company’s vision to never sell out That statement seems like a dig at NI, Izotope and Propellerhead. The Venture Capitalists have been trying to buy Ableton and the answer has always been, a big no...

Re: mDSQ - Lectric Panda Micro Drum Sequencer in the shop!
Does the RS Drum Sequencer player have some sort of MPC swing enabled by default? When you program in similar patterns on mDSQ the groove is a bit different. There are shuffle (global) and slide (per part). Other than that, there isn't any built-in, default enabled swing that I know of. Capture.JPG...

Re: HP & LP Filters and EQ
I just stumbled across this video and I thought it would be relevant to this discussion. There are no rules in audio, but its good advice to keep the amount of filtering and EQing of sounds to a minimum as there are trade-offs with EQ. Each time you use filters you degrade the sound quality of the ...

Re: E-mail from RS - Waves BERZERK Distortion for Free
Thanks to RS! They just gave me another year of WUP. No one forces you to get the freebie. And i hope you can unsubscribe to Waves spam emails. I also think its better to buy their stuff instead of upgrading, because its way cheaper...if you really, really need their stuff. That's right. It's cheap...

Re: Reason and Huge Track Counts
I tried the R12 demo and did not notice much difference with R11 at all. Apart from the new GUI and the new sampler. So I'm quite shocked there are all these performance issues. They must have changed something under the hood that's causing all sorts of problems.

Re: The podcast (Sound Minds) is here!
I think the goal could be to open a new revenue stream via either sponsorships from music companies like Avid/Ableton/Distrokid/DrumMonkey etc. or possibly Patreon supporters with different levels and perks like free sound packs and REs or a month of Reason+. This is pure speculation but is the rou...

Maybe the FX text labels were always grainy but you couldn't see it in low-resolution mode.

Re: Logic Pro 10.7
Big Sur is supported on MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, and Mac Pro going back to 2013. The early 2013 MBP is not supported by Big Sur. And for iMacs and Mac Minis its 2014 models or later. The point is that most people purchasing Logic X in 2013 would have had earlier models. And they've since paid for ...

So how much is this update or is it free as it's a point update? That is one hell of an impressive feature list too. Only read half it was that vast and the last update was only 3 months ago too, but that was 10.6.3, not .6 so don't know how long that was ago lol! In 2023 it'll be 30 years since No...

Were you expecting them to shut down your account after 3 months were up?Creativemind wrote: ↑17 Oct 2021
I'm still a little miffed that after my £3 for 3 months was up it automatically rolled over for another month at full price. That's sneaky. I've cancelled it now and back on 11.

Re: Recreate sp404 mkii resample functionality in reason?
You can put a VST with sampling capability on the master output. But other than that, if you want a hardware workflow get hardware there is no substitute for getting away from a computer and the working with the real thing.

Re: Mimic: New Creative Sampler
My question is if there is any way for the Mimic to trigger each chop of each pad and hold it without having to hold down the pad, because when we release the pad the playback of the chop stops. I know that putting the sustain pedal on the playback continues, but I would like to know if there is an...

Re: Mimic: New Creative Sampler
I understand a lot of you make like techno & stuff, but mimic is a godsend for sample choppers in reason. Just try to chop a soul sample up & making a proto-Kanye West-style beat with it. It's sooooo much easier than with, say, NNXT. I used to use Kong as my main sample player, chopping out slices ...

Re: R12 and iZotope Plugins
If you're talking about Ozone then that one is meant for mastering and is quite heavy on the CPU. You may have issues if you put it on too many mix channels. You may have to increase your buffer settings. If you have Izoptope's Neutron it's lighter on CPU and has lower latency so much better suited ...
