I think a very important tier to add to Reason+ is a rent to own option for first time users as well as upgraders. As an R11 Suite user I would welcome that.

They would have to be a hell of a lot more transparent for most people to even consider this, which is why I dont expect the subscription service to do that well. If R12 isn't an absolute banger for features it's not going to incentivize anyone to pay monthly for sound packs, and its gonna have guys...

One thing I'd like to draw attention to is how they snuck in the Companion software with no mention of it in their release notes. I didnt download it right away cause I wanted to see how this pans out, but I think omitting it to sneak their store into the product was a little shady.

The more I think about what this "Companion" is the more I think its a mobile app, like Figure and Take. The word speaks to me as something that physically comes along with you. Probably for sketching ideas that you can bring into Reason directly, like a simplified sequencer.

I've been gassing for an Octatrack Mk2 on an off for the past year at least. I've already got a Digitakt and really love the Elektron workflow, and I'm wondering if any Reasoners here use the Octatrack and want to chime in on their experience with it.
