Re: New Order Songs and Reason Live
Using a combinator per song as a keyboard patch and have one reason project for an entire gig works very well. But what if I need sequences or longer samples as backing tracks? If I have a 4 minute audio track that I want to use as backing track, I can't play it from a keypress on my keyboard via c...

Re: Tapping cv/gate directly from players
Isn't it the same as using CV Player tap https://www.propellerheads.com/shop/rack-extension/cv-player-tap/ ? CV Player tap requires an instrument to be present as do all players, this is handy if you just want the cv/gate to further process before going to any instrument(s) or other cv manipulation...

Tapping cv/gate directly from players
There is a free rack extension that acts as an "Instrument" so it can be used to tap cv/gate outputs directly from player output polyphonically. https://www.propellerheads.com/shop/rack-extension/ivy/ Its the cv thru outputs, you don't need to use the funky stuff. I thought i would share this info a...

Re: Unpopular opinion: "Players" are the worst feature of Reason
1. They don't break the rack paradigm, they are only for instruments and can be chained. It might be virtual connections, but you can get cv in and out using the appropriate player. 2. The sequencer has most of the features that the players provide. If they don't, you use a player which can direct r...

Re: Apple’s new Mac Pro
The display for it doesn't come with a stand.. Its $999. For A Stand..
Also..the fully kitted out version of the mac costs $45,000
They know that creative houses will buy these so they just put whatever price they want.

Re: Complex-1
I was wondering about using Distributor to make a polyphonic Complex-1, but didn't pursue it due to the irritation of the patches on the eight individual devices not being in sync. Change a parameter or routing on one device, and you have to change it on all of them if you want them to sound the sa...

Re: Propellerheads PolyStep Sequencer
Why even make a player to begin with? A lot of people, myself included, have been asking for a sequencer updates with similar features that have been incorporated into this player. A lot of people, myself included, have been asking for (polyphonic) live sequencer functionality and have waited years...

Re: What features are REALLY necessary for Reason 11
I want a new Combinator that lets me modulate any parameter in a device, you know, more inputs. I don't want to automate, I want to modulate. And I honestly think Reason should have a better/dedicated CV generator. This ^ And.. if they could make some sort of retro-device (like a player) that fits ...

Re: Propellerheads PolyStep Sequencer
This is so good. I don't judge a device until i actually try it. And this one does not disappoint, i just drew some lines, moved them around played with some repeat settings, did it 4 times, came up with this in about 5 minutes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ND51saEWtCY - and that is only one of t...

Re: Loop clips like blocks
The other option is to bounce a clip to audio, double click it, make sure its in slice mode then right click, bounce to rex.. drag the loop (should be in self-contained samples) onto the rack now you have an octorex with the loop.. Which loops however many bars long it is. There is a rack extension ...

Re: If I have RB's Sequences, do I also "need" Step Note Recorder?
Not sure you're replying to my question. Also, why would you use Thor to trigger Sequences' patterns? You can paint the patterns into sequencer track just like for Matrix, ReDrum or Drum Sequencer; or you can simply automate the changes. Sorry, i thought you were interested in these devices for the...

Re: If I have RB's Sequences, do I also "need" Step Note Recorder?
Just to let you know, it works well for my use case, i set the resolution to 1/2 then put 4 repeats on every note (could be 1/4 with 8 repeats) and use the curve 1 out to combinator cv in which controls the current sequence.

Re: If I have RB's Sequences, do I also "need" Step Note Recorder?
I've been using Thor's sequencer to sequence the patterns on sequences, but seeing this update i might just use the cv outputs on SNR2 with 4 repeats on each note (to extend the width to match one bar at 1/16th of sequences) .. buying now!

The thread's name is the same as the video's. I don't believe Intel is dead. Intel was late at reacting to Zen. I'll let Linus do the more technical commentary on my behalf regarding Intel via AMD's new products. I saw this one video of this guy a few days ago. He's bloody annoying. Most of the tec...
