Re: default gain setting is different between mix channel faders and volume knobs?
Aha... I did test it with an oscilloscope like you suggested and indeed. 0db... That chart is awesome, exactly what I needed. Many thanks! But then the built-in conversion (= adjust alien clips ...) does not calculate correctly from 100 to 734 on the mix faders... I tried that and it gives the same ...

default gain setting is different between mix channel faders and volume knobs?
Hi, I've just been changing over some older reason projects that were made prior to the SSL mixer and convert them onto mixer channels. But I've bumped into a weird instance that I never really noticed, where the default gain level of the 0-127 volume knobs is "not" the same as the default 0db level...

Re: EQ before Master Compressor
Instead of the control room out you could also use for instance a spider audio splitter to split the mix channel output and then use a high pass filter to filter out the low end, but as it is technically the exact same principle as in using the control room out, it is effectively obsolete. There are...

Re: Reason crashing
Next time try emptying the scratchdisk. This could be due to something reason was caching, so the problem was recursive.
You can find the location of the scratchdisk in the advanced options in reason.

Panning with Send FX
Question (one which I already know the answer to but need to hear confirmation on)... When we pan a sound, say a hihat, to the right and send it to say a reverb send, will the reverb return be panned accordingly, or will it be centered? In other words, the 'post-fader' sends in Reason, are they 'pos...

Re: And again...not a single response to my ticket or inquiries
Sry but I haven't visited this place since posting the OP, nor have I even read the responses here. I am so done with it all. Thank you PROPELLERHEAD or Reason Studios or whatever... Here's the last response I got, at which point I was completely 'done' with everything regarding them... It is unprof...

And again...not a single response to my ticket or inquiries
Truly, I am just about done with the 'non-serious' and childish crap from Reason support. Why do we have to move mountains in order to get 'some' kind of response from support ? And then it is still all for 'nothing' ? Because you still get plain ignored. The entire help site was a bloody mess for w...

Re: Fix the BROWSER !!!
not sure where this “petulant child” thing came from. it seems like a pretty typical request discussion thread to me. doesn’t seem unreasonably negative, unless you consider USING ALL CAPS to be unreasonably negative, for some reason. THANK YOU. Genuinely, I appreciate that. Finally someone with a ...

Re: Fix the BROWSER !!!
Yeah, you are still behaving like a petulant child, issuing demands rather than requests or suggestions. RS have a feedback form. Suggestions on that form reach the devs. Just sayin'. Dude, they made a sub section here just for this purpose, so give it up will you ? Starts to feel more like harassm...

Re: Crash control !
My joke backfired, but that's okay. Oh... I'm sorry for that  I've had certain VST cause crashes before, I know exactly what I did to cause the crash so then I never did that again. But it never affected me because I save so often. I was just saying that it's a good practice to save A LOT! N...

Re: Nektar Panorama Remote Maps Thread
Hi, I am wondering, I have a little LX25+, and having issues with Syntronik, it has no automation control at all and thus fully relies on MIDI learn. However I can only assign cc1 to the modwheel, all else is unresponsive. I guess that is because a 'map' lacks for this device... I was wondering if t...

Re: What about the super combinator?
I remember back with Reason SIX, many were asking for things like copy/paste control in the combinator, more than four buttons, things like that. Today those same things are still being asked. WAY overdue...Imo combis inside combis aren't even truly necessary, we need those functions first that woul...

Re: Crash control !
Since vsts have been added, unfortunately the 'no crash' policy is no longer unconditionally applicable ... :/ So again, we 'do' need some form of recovery in the event of a crash. Any plugin can crash the system which can destroy part of a session by not perpetually pressing ctrl+S like a nutter.....

Re: Fix the BROWSER !!!
I agree the browser could use some love, but as with anything, what “needs to be fixed” is subjective, most of the time, with complex software like Reason. for example, 99% of my use of the browser consists of typing in the name of the device I want and dragging it into the rack, and then maybe aud...

Re: Fix the BROWSER !!!
You are behaving like a petulant child in this and other threads. You should direct your demands at Reason Studios, not at the users of an INDEPENDENT forum. You aren't behaving any better with your condescending response here ;) , whereas I am stating facts that need not be ignored. I state them f...

Re: Crash control !
Although, even still with a 'perfect' and never failing Reason, a pc or laptop can still fail for any one of a million causes, which can unexpectedly end a Reason session with data lost. Only a full-on restore function would buffer such events and the user can be assured nothing is lost. Reason isn'...

Re: Crash control !
Or some hook that prevents the Reason software itself from crashing when a vst crashes.
Some process that isolates the failing vst before it crashes reason...
Anything along such lines is acceptable.

Re: Dropping the Weight
While I agree with most I've read from the OP, this is the quintessential matter (for REASON STUDIOS) to consider, contemplate, and expediate : Nobody knows what the direction is for this product and for this company. That alone is cause for alarm. They MUST, and I repeat they MUST at least inform u...
