Stutter effect - assign resolution to hardware pads?
I could use some help trying to pull off a specific effect in a live environment. Ultimately what I'm trying to do is play a chord on my keyboard, capture that audio with a loop/stutter effect, then (and this is where my biggest hang-up lies right now) be able to change the stutter speed/resolution ...

Re: How do Archive your Patches and call them up quickly?
Your question about "quickly recalling" patches made me think of the workflow needs that I have personally. While I'm not sure how well it answers your question, I'll describe the patch bank setup that I use for quickly changing between patches for live shows. 1. I store all my patches in a "Patch L...

Re: Vintage Synth Emulations?
I also love the Arturia V collection. The CS-80 and Prophet emulations have quickly become go-tos for me. I was lucky enough to pick it up on a 50% off deal, but I think the whole collection is certainly worth full price.

Re: Arturia V Collection 50% off
I picked this bundle up at this price through a third party vendor not long ago, and I've been so glad I did. I love the sounds they produce, and the preset browsers make it easy to find what I'm looking for. So far I've had very little issue running them as VSTs in Reason. I haven't done any real s...

Re: I have a problem playing live with Reason.
Not at my computer at the moment, so going off memory... But you should be able to assign this in the "Additional Remote Overrides" menu. I have a similar setup for live playing, been running it for a couple years now and been pretty happy with it, so feel free to PM me for any advice. Sent from my ...

Re: Sooo, ... using projects on Windows and Mac
From my limited experience, I can tell you that as long as you have the same plugins that you need for a given project installed on both machines, then it works fine. Before Reason entered the world of VSTs, I was going back and forth between working on my home PC and my MacBook with no problems. No...

Re: Anti-Reason-Sound Thread
What do you mean by "Reason sound"? How exactly do you define it? What characteristics of Reason's overall sound make it unique from other DAWs?

Re: Arturia V Colletion 5 Discount 50%, Worth it?
I nearly squealed like a school girl when I saw this ad yesterday. I've been looking to get that vintage sound in my rack, so I've had my eye on the V Collection for a while, just telling myself I'd be able to afford it someday. In my mind, some of those synths could sell for $250 on their own, so p...

Re: Live Performance Rigs/Setups/Techniques
For bands that may jump around a bit on the set list, I've built a slightly different setup. I created groupings of sounds in each Combinator, such as one Combi with Piano, Rhodes, Strings, and Synth Pad - each with a button to turn them on/off, and a Rotary to control volume. This allows me to cre...

Re: Live Performance Rigs/Setups/Techniques
I experimented with a clip/scene matrix setup like in Ableton live - 8 Tracks (can be more if needed) - 8 Scenes - 8 x Dr. Octorexes, 1 x Combinator, 1 x CV8X4 Generator RE - Launchpad S controller mapped to CV8X4 to control clip/scene switching (coded a custom remote codec) Nice! I've always been ...

Re: Live Performance Rigs/Setups/Techniques
Your setup sounds awesome. I use Reason Live as a guitar multieffects and amp SIM using a line 6 fbv shortboard to control. It's awesome and fits in my guitar case. Said goodbye to huge amps long ago. Just plug into the PA and away. I have posted my rig here: https://forum.reasontalk.com/viewtopic....

Live Performance Rigs/Setups/Techniques
Any other Reason users out there that are geared mainly toward live performances? When I got started with my live rig, it didn't seem like there was a ton of advice or best practices floating around on the subject, at least not for how I was intending to use Reason. Now that I'm a couple years into ...

Re: Remember the Win XP search dog - we need one in Reason
Or maybe something like Arturia's Analog Lab. You can narrow down their entire preset list based on categories like instrument type (bass, lead, pad, etc) or sound characteristics (aggressive, evolving, quiet, etc) to name a couple. Pretty slick way to quickly pare down the list and get closer to wh...
