Re: Stand-alone ADSR/extended envelope RE, preferably with the option to receive notes in a Combi?
I’m looking to tame the sounds of some instruments and their FX inside a Combinator by using a final stage VCA before the audio leaves the Combinator. In the past, I have used a stand-alone synth to achieve this, but to conserve CPU, I was looking for a stand-alone envelope RE, preferably with more...

Re: Is Quad Note Generator Shit or is it just me?
I thought it was shit till about a couple weeks ago...im never running to go use it....but its useful in the production process when i want something different. The trick with the generators is you have to practice using them for a bit....i havent found them to spit out likeable stuff in initial use...

Re: Quadelectra System 9 Pattern Sequencer Song Mode
I gave u the answer. that*s an answer which stinks :D Not at all. Youd just have to accept that redrum is the best pattern sequencer in reason...i thought system 9 was it, but it has issues with the cv gate thats fixable to a degree, but not straight forward i dont think quadelectra is planning on ...

Re: Song Markers / Cue Points for Reason
Great Job! With the redrum project i wasnt sure if i found the speak back effective for me personally. But for the transport controls i found the speak back highly useful. Even though i have visual cues for certain transport items on midi controllers i love being able to have an audible reminder on ...

Re: How to make "Remote Overrides" portable across different computers and controllers
I cosign this. For another example i use nektartech panorama which operates via reason remote....i can have 2 different panorama devices targeting a mixer channel or rack device or transport and theres no issue with set up... Remote overrides in the grand scheme of thing is a last resort option to p...

Re: Quadelectra System 9 Pattern Sequencer Song Mode
Man just use redrum....i wanted system 9 to be it too but redrum does everything. 4 banks of 8 patterns all automatable by even a click With up to 64 steps.... The system 9 idea is great but its poorly executed even down to how the cv gate works. System 9 should do everything redrum does + more........

Delete the p1 profile in reason preferences unplug the p1 and then have reason automatically search for the drivers.

Re: FS: Panorama P1
:D Yea p1 and p4 go together very well if you have the chance to have and use both. I dont use both everyday but being able to focus one of the panoramas is huge when you need it! I redid the knobs and faders on both units to aesthetically keep it interesting Wait you can get deep integration with b...

Wanted to know if anyone could share the pros and cons of frequency modulation vs phase modulation. Im aware that phase modulation is actually more common...
Is algoritm a true fm synth or does it use phase modulation?
What are signs that are helpful in identifying this?

Re: Is Nektar Panorama good for programming synths?
Give it a try. Keep hitting this post with updates. Ok, well, I tried it with Algoritm and can make very rudimentary assignments but when I looked at Carley's Friktion map, I realize just how deep and complex it it. I'm not sure I even have a brain to learn it and I definitely don't have the the ti...

Re: Is Nektar Panorama good for programming synths?
Let me know First and last videos were the easiest for me to follow. First one a little more cause I'm on Mac but both have useful information. I tried a test in Reason and it is the case that the grab maps don't work outside a session for me. Even if you save the Reason file and reopen, the assign...

Re: Is Nektar Panorama good for programming synths?
Yes panorama is great for programming synths in reason! Theres no better option actually. I use a p1 and p4 together. Ill add this to be super realistic with you about this though. The reason remote is a huge strength of reason that panorama plays into very well....the trick though is that to fully...

Re: Is Nektar Panorama good for programming synths?
The lua coding isnt even complicated to be honest but if u dont understand coding well enough to even modify it and feel comfortable modifying its a moot point. So it would really help me to understand if my basic assumptions are correct. One being does the Panorama only access one map file at a ti...

Question about combinator CV automation
I hit a question that i want to make sure is not possible before i leave the idea. Is it possible to set up cv in the rack and then record the automation of an instruments control while in the combinator? Example: If i routed a lfo into a combinator cv input and then had that cv input modulate an in...

Re: Velocity-sensitive device triggerer?
If you're having issues only when sequencing with Redrum, I would double check that the Redrum channels are using Gate rather than Pulse. RedrumGateLength.png From the manual: The length of the gate signal depends on the Decay/Gate setting for the sound: In Decay mode, a short “trig pulse” is sent ...

Re: Velocity-sensitive device triggerer?
You are right about limited functionality to a degree its just the way im trying to stage my drums with a rack sequencer right now...Its something i havent done much of, but a way im finding that I think allows me to dial drum sounds in via synths which is new to me. Ive been using drum samples for...

Re: Velocity-sensitive device triggerer?
I cant speak for the OP, but i ran into an issue that i think the OP is referring to which lead me to the post. Im trying to create an analog drum set up as well to do 2 things. 1. I want to trigger 8 separate synth devices to serve as my 8 individual drum sounds. 2. I also want to be able to have ...
