Does the performance of reason benefit with audio interfaces with built in DSP?
Im going to try to skip story time and get to the point of this as best as possible. To make a long story short yesterday I ran into the issue of the sends effects routed back as a mixer channel not being delay compensated. Searched this issue on the reasontalk forum found this https://forum.reason...

Re: how to record combinators
If you mean record the combinator as audio you cant record the combinator out right directly, but you can record the mix channel the combinator is hooked to via rec source button.

Re: Clip gain vs Input gain
clip gain is very useful in getting separate clips consistent with one another--something the track's input gain would be much less efficient for. I've recently made good use of this in recording bass for my band--we had to return and redo some bass in a couple of sections a few days after the fact...

Re: Clip gain vs Input gain
Valid point!
After writing this and looking back at the session I did get the thought of I could just use the selig gain lol
Still I dont get why the input knob is on fixed increments.

Clip gain vs Input gain
Does anyone know if theres any inherent advantage to using the clip gain in the sequencer over the input gain on the top of the channel? Is the only advantage to the clip gain that you have a visual aid on the waveform? With that from a controller perspective the clip gain has a disadvantage because...

Re: Midi keyboard not working in one song/project
I open a new project, add say a Thor and the keyboard (Nektar PanoramaT4) works fine. Then I open one specific project and no midi information is getting through from it, yet the on-screen keyboard works. Go back to the new project and the keyboard is working. What might have gone wrong here? Thoug...

Re: Nektar P1 "did not respond properly" error after latest Update
Im on a mac using reason 10 and in the last 2-3 months ive ran into the issue. Right now *knocks on cyber wood* i dont have the issue but it seems like when you have the issue its unrelenting and very frustrating. The issue hasnt logically made sense to me either. What i can recommend is manually de...

Re: GHAMMY Harm / Pitch Shifter [by Turn2on]
It will be interesting to hear whether you have the same result with different pedals, Okaino, If it is the P4/P6 that's the source of the problem (and not the pedal itself), then it may be solved by a future update, (although we may need to chase up Nektar and put some pressure on them. As far as ...

Re: GHAMMY Harm / Pitch Shifter [by Turn2on]
Im using the same pedal with a p4 and have the same issue i tried everything it will max out at 100% but it wont goto 0. I made sure the grey knob on the pedal was set right because i got less range turning it the opposite way. I tried changing settings on panorama nothin improved. I tried using a ...

Re: GHAMMY Harm / Pitch Shifter [by Turn2on]
Quick quiz: Is anybody else using the Nektar Expression Pedal with Ghammy? It would appear that my Nektar Expression Pedal never quite returns to 'zero' when fully depressed. Instead, it bottoms out around 1.6%, which creates a doubled/detuned 'chorussy' effect rather than the desired "whammy off" ...

Does anyone know of a shortcut to arm track for recording
Im trying to use the manual arm track setting because i was screwing things up with the automatic too much. What i cant find information on and just hoping someone may have an answer is to if theres a way to arm/disarm tracks in the sequencer. Im looking for a way to not have to use a mouse to do th...

Re: Reason Studios has closed all of my tickets without solutions
I know. I’m still happy with 10.4. I’d just like to avoid having to pay for an upgrade I don’t want in order to move on from RS. It’s like a buy out fee. I thought I’d be with them for life but I’m getting sick of all the crap. I'm not telling you what to do, only to be clear that moving to another...

Re: Whats your opinion about the convenience of testing/trialing new plugins from the shop?
The way i look at it is you could test a RE with a subscription and test quite a few for 10 bucks at one time and still have the freebie trial if u need it. Or if u used a trial and didnt have time or understand the RE when u initially tried you can still demo it again under subscription if it makes...

Re: was wondering if its common practice to throw a compressor in with 0 threshold
Its not a crime....the only other reason this is done is in 1176 styled compressors you can crank the input with no ratio which is equivalent to no threshold this is done for tone without compression. If gain is all u want theres nothing most compressors will give you outside of that gain without th...

I thought morphine 8 was going to be my solution to nnxt/kong. I watched the videos about it and kept thinking no way they are covering everything there has to be more. Re: KONG Outputs ?
Anyway, beyond Kalm's clever L/R solution, Kong kind of sucks in the way the drum output setting resets every time you drop a new sample on to a pad. That seems like something that should have been fixed in BETA, or at the very least some time in the TEN YEARS that Kong has been around. In recent t...
