I have an Akai MPK225. Each button has options for what data to send, and one of those options is ‘keystrokes”. You can even have modifiers. I can’t speak for other controllers, but it works perfect in Reason. Maybe your controller has similar options?

I don't know about "big difference", but Win 10 works great. FYI I do not use the internet on music computers.

Boot camp. Works perfect for me. Made my 2012 MacBook Pro anew machine. It's faster, super stable, and imho better than current OSX.

FM4 because its easy to work with, and it's the one on the list I actually own.

Good stuff, thank you for doing this. I work with an old Maschine MK1 that was gathering dust in a closet and an Akai MPK225. Between the two of them I have everything covered. This indeed would be a big help if I ever decide to invest in another controller.
