Re: Reason 10.3 public beta is open!
Separate windows is in theory a solution, except that there isn't a way to save your workspace (as far as I can tell). You have to manually split into multi windows each time you open the file. Am I wrong about this? Yep my experience says you're wrong about it. Aside from some hiccups on the size ...

Re: Reason 10.3 public beta is open!
Without wishing to derail this post about reason 10.3 Beta even further. Can't you just detach the rack and mixer windows and size and position them to meet your requirement - i.e. have these 2 windows take up half the screen vertically? Sure, but that's very clumsy as it's not a single window anym...

Re: NI Razor Glitches in Reason
In a similar vein, I was having problems with some iZotope plugins that overloaded my W10 system far more readily in Reason than they did in Reaper. Somewhere in this forum I read that turning off "hyperthreading" in Reason's Preferences seemed to improve performance, so I tried that and it did see...

Thanks. Related, I just downloaded the Reaper trial and no issues with Razor there at all...MannequinRaces wrote: ↑04 Mar 2018Works fine for me on OSX. Hoping somebody on Win 10 has a solution for you. It’s an awesome synth!

NI Razor Glitches in Reason
Hi Folks, As my personal 4-year-old Lenovo Y510p Windows 10 laptop (i7-4700, 16GB RAM, GeForce 2GB VRAM) seems to be on death's door, I am using my work-issued Windows 10 HP ZBook (i7-6820, 16GB RAM, Quadro M1000M4GB VRAM) temporarily for music. (The Zbook is otherwise a quite capable machine for ev...

Re: VST Plugin Location Question
It appears my attempt to save my aging HDD may be too little, too late. I may simply have to start from scratch (on a new SSD). Unfortunately, I had several (I think as many as 5) different VST plugin locations on the old drive. I plan to consolidate as much as possible in the new install. Question...

Re: Groove Monkee MIDI Loops in Reason (and VSTs)
Thanks, JiggeryPokery. Russ at Groove Monkee just provided two very detailed (well thought-out) responses to my queries there. So I second all the positive comments I've already seen about his support chops! According to his advice, the easiest thing to do with these (or any third party MIDI drum lo...

Groove Monkee MIDI Loops in Reason (and VSTs)
I own three of Groove Monkee's MIDI Loop libraries and have rarely used them for Reason due to the fact that they always seemed to improperly map in ReDrum. Before today, I just assumed that I just wasn't using the proper mapping type (e.g. EZ Drummer, GM, BFD, etc). Prior to re-downloading today (b...

Re: ReFill Review: A Massive Reason
I don't get it. The website says for Reason 9 and above. If you already own Massive, why not just open directly in Reason (9.5 or above)? Or is it strictly for Reason 9.0 users?

I found this. Not sure if it is what you are looking for: https://www.reasonexperts.com/old-reason-songs-to-ssl-mixer-using-reason-6.html Thanks, Jon! Very helpful. Though I DID find the video I was thing of here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YuM4uris-SI (The title threw me off as I could have s...

Converting Legacy Reason Files to Reason 8/9
I SWEAR it was somewhere here I found it. But now I can't seem to locate it here or on YouTube: A simple tutorial that converts old legacy Reason files (with the old mixer) to updated Reason files. Anyone?

Re: iZotope Stutter Edit does reason support Midi effects?
In the name of all that is Holy... Can someone please explain this for tards? Presumably, Stutter Edit needs audio data (i.e. an audio track, not MIDI notes) to manipulate (i.e the source). With that in mind, I create a quick audio recording, create Stutter Edit from the VST Effects rack. Now what?...

Re: So what are the first things you did/do with 9.5?
Started D16 Phoscyon, saw that it worked. Then I fired up Octorex and added Stutter Edit. Works like a charm. Having a blast so far. (My love affair with Reason is BACK ON in full force!) Can you explain how you got this working with Stutter Edit? I open Octo Rex and Stutter Edit but my controller ...
