Re: How to apply LFO to an audio track
Something you can try is to use the free kilo hearts pitch shifter VST and plug an LFO into the pitch jack.

Reason had combinators before Ableton even existed. Combi v.2 came out with Reason 12, but the OG Combinator has been there since Reason 3.cocoazenith wrote: ↑24 Feb 2024I... always found Combis as a childish attempt

Re: [Hard Techno / EDM] Tweakallamy Nesta
I agree with what people are saying about the kick. The breakdown sounds really good to me. The only thing is I would either add a bass in, or make the kick longer so we can hear the tone. But still sounds good. Can you tell me what you think about my track, By Name? It's my first track ever experim...

Hey guys, I know it's about 2 years later, but I think I finally tamed that hard kick that was taking over my mix. Also, I think the kick doesn't sound high-passed anymore. Could I get your feedback? Re: Objekt has arrived!
Does anyone think Objekt could replace Algoritm? Or rather, are there sounds that Algoritm could do that Objekt can't? I just realized that I made a simple plucked string sounding patch with 1 resonating body and 3 overtones. It took me 5 operators in Algoritm to do the same thing. I realize that FM...

Can someone please explain to me what latching is?
I've seen parameters like "mod wheel latch" and "cv latch", but I haven't seen anywhere on Google that actually explains to me what it does. Could someone help me?

Re: (Rap) Never Go Wrong
Wow, this sounds really good! Tight sound design and production. I've never heard rap like this. When I think of rap, I think of 808's, a syncopated beat, and same-old sounds, but this has a 4/4 beat, with sick-sounding synths, and a great flow. You might be going places, man!
Great job!

Hey all, I posted an unfinished version of this track a while back; all it needs now is a female singer, but until I have the money to pay one it's gonna stay with me on the vocals. About 70 MB difference. I can upload them when I get home, if you'd like (and if RT.com allows an attachment that big). And yes, they're on the same hard drive.

File Size Difference
Is there any reason why 2 files with the exact same audio, automation, synths, EVERYTHING, would have different sizes? I have 2 copies of the same track, but they're different sizes.

Re: What keys and tempos do you like to work in?
I normally work at 170-180, 4/4. I might slow down to 140 in my breakdowns. I almost always use Amin and C and then transpose up and down.
Although I really like the sound of Dmin. It's just that my hands are used to playing the white keys only.

Re: Is there utility in Reason 12 to make specific range mono?
You are absolutely correct. Stereo Imager is exactly what you would use. The low-band is on the left side of the X-over freq knob, the high-band on the right. In order to set the lows below 120hz to be mono, set the X-over freq knob to 120hz, and move the low-band knob all the way down to "mono". Th...

Could people who have downloaded my pack tell me what they think of the sounds? I don't mean to keep resuscitating this thread, but I would like to know if my patches are good, OK, or just plain bad.
Thanks in advance!

Yeah, you're absolutely right. Sorry!
I don't understand why not just have the "Edit Automation" list on everything that's automatable.

Hidden Automatable Things
I have noticed that a lot of the things I didn't think were automatable in Reason are. These can be recorded by just pressing the record button and moving whatever control you want to, even if right-clicking did not pull up an "Edit Automation" command. Some things that I just found out were automat...

Some constructive criticism would be great!
Thanks.
