Re: Selecting track using midi (or keyboard)

I'm experimenting with "Target Previous Track" and "Target Next Track" now. It seems quite unpredictable: Sometimes I'm stuck on one track, and when attempting to target another track, the current track just flashes. Other times, I can skip between some of the tracks, but not all. Other times, it wo...

Re: Selecting track using midi (or keyboard)

Thanks a lot to both of you, mcatalao and rmtcvolte! That's what I was looking for, and it does the trick :-) That being said, the remote base channel is probably what I am after ultimately, as I actually do want to control the main mixer. However, the remote map I'm currently using is probably targ...

Selecting track using midi (or keyboard)

Hi, I am trying to find a way to select a track in the sequencer using keyboard or Midi. The kind of selection I want is what is shown in this image: reason.png ...Which is the same type of selecting (I think) as in this image from the rack: reason2.png The best would be if this is selectable using ...

Re: Softube Console 1 as MIDI controller for the SSL mixer

Seems like the thread was deleted, for some reason that I don't understand. And this thread is named "Softube Console 1 as MIDI controller for the SSL mixer". I think you may find the expected information asking Softube, Presonus or Ardour. I can't help you annyway here. I know. Sorry about that. A...

Re: Softube Console 1 as MIDI controller for the SSL mixer

VST3 is only one pre-requisite. The other is that the DAW itself supports Console 1. Yes, I know. But if they also add support for Presonus VST3 Extensions (like Ardour did; see the linked post), would that fix it? Or would they need something in addition to that as well? (Let's move this discussio...

Semi-related: Could VST3 pave the way for proper Console One integration ? VST3 is only one pre-requisite. The other is that the DAW itself supports Console 1. Yes, I know. Re: Reason Studios shares their roadmap

[...] As for roadmap feedback, the two features I want the most are not mentioned: * MPE support * Softube Console One integration. [...] When it comes to Console One support, this is only for Console One users. Still, most professional DAWs do have integration. So it would be great if Reason could...

Re: Reason Studios shares their roadmap

I agree, It's hard enough to get music related standard features into the product without adding video features, it would just end up being another feature that requires way to much support and development time - RS should stick with making Reason the best it can be for music creation. I'm not talk...

Re: Reason Studios shares their roadmap

[...] Video Support I'd also argue that native video support is also about music making. Some people think of video support and their minds immediately go to big film projects. People are composing for all types of media. People are getting into music making now specifically to compose for media. I...

Re: Reason Studios shares their roadmap

Yay! I'm really happy that Reason Studios are becoming more transparent! Being a user for ~20 years, I've wanted this transparency for a long time. It makes investing time and money in updates feel safer. And it stops a least some of the speculation. I also want to say that I really appreciat...

I don't even care about support of the Reason native instruments. Simply built in MPE support for the VST plugins that come with Roli!

and what other DAW you may be using to really get a whack at MPE For MPE stuff, I use Cocos Reaper. I chose it because it is cheap, yet extremely powerful and flexible. Re: Control remote base channel volume with hardware fader

What midi controller are you using? Does it have it's own little picture in the control surfaces list? Or did you use the " other-midi control surface" codec? I have an Akai MPK261, and it shows up in the control surfaces list. I don't think Override mapping assigns to different remote base channel...

Control remote base channel volume with hardware fader

I've successfully assigned a knob on my MIDI keyboard to scroll through the channels in order to select remote base channel. I now want to assign a hardware fader and two buttons to control the channel volume, the mute and the solo buttons. Right-click and "Edit Remote Override Mapping" does not see...

Re: Controller with single (or a few) motorized fader

PreSonus FaderPort 8. Unlike the original FaderPort, FaderPort 8 supports Mackie Control Universal which works with Reason. It'll be hard to find anything with motorized faders smaller than that. It indeed looks nice. Have you tried it with Reason, or is it just assumed to work because of MCU suppo...

Re: Building a controller surface for Reason

1) There are remotable properties to shift the remote base channel of a channel strips so you can switch through the channels one by one or eight by eight. That way you can select different channels from your MIDI controller, always one at focus. Some remote codecs of mixer midi controllers do that...
