High RAM usage since last update?
is anyone else having this issue? Since the last update, Reason will keep using more and more RAM, even if I just have a few devices in a project and no audio. over time it actually struggles to play music because it's using up like 15 gigs of my RAM. I never had this problem before the latest updat...

Re: RE Updater not working anymore?
This is really bad. I recently got a new computer, and had to reinstall Reason. Tons of REs I bought over the years are missing. I used to be able to just sync all, and they would all magically appear and/or update. Now I have to manually install them. And that only works IF the RE is still currentl...

BSOD when running Reason, then full rescan of plugins?
Does this happen to anyone else? I've noticed sometimes when I'm using Reason, it will BSOD ("BAD POOL CALLER" message). Then after my computer restarts, Reason will decide to rescan ALL of my plugins, taking 20-30 minutes to do so. I have a few specific song files that frequently cause this to happ...

Re: VSTs are too small now in Reason 12
I have the latest version of Serato Sample (1.4) which they say includes a fix for rendering on Windows HiDPI display, but I'm not sure what that means. It doesn't work in reason 12 unless I do the "compatibility" hack on the executable as the other person described above.

Re: Serato Sample VST has small window in Reason 12.5
For anyone else experiencing this issue, I seemingly resolved the issue by changing Reason 12's DPI settings. Right-click Reason 12's desktop icon > click on the "Compatibility" > click "change high DPI settings" to access: https://imgur.com/a/yIDsV80 You are a freaking genius, thank you! That solv...

Re: R12, 16 months on, ... how are you all finding it?
Unfortunately the logger didn't do any good. They ended up just telling me they weren't going to do anything about it (but in a nice way). There is just some issue with how their window renders user interfaces for VSTs, it seems. I think Serato Sample is like 100 dollars, which is not too much to pa...

Re: R12, 16 months on, ... how are you all finding it?
I like the hi-res update and VST3 support, though I'd consider those basic features to bring it up to par with other DAWs. I still think Reason is the best DAW, of course. My main complaint about R12 is that certain VSTs literally just don't work anymore after the hi-res update. Like Serato Sample. ...

Re: Is there any way to disable the "ctrl+W" instant close feature?
For me, ctrl-W is always just an instant close, it never prompts me, even if I've made changes to the song. This has burned me way more times than I care to admit! I know I should be more careful, but man, I have accidentally hit W instead of S so many times, and lost progress. Maybe it is a bug, th...

Is there any way to disable the "ctrl+W" instant close feature?
I frequently hit ctrl+S to save. I've been burned too many times by crashes where I lost progress. However, for some reason I can't comprehend, we get a hotkey shortcut that insta-closes a song without any dialog prompt or warning (Ctrl+W). ANy other method of closing a song, and Reason will prompt ...

Re: Reason 12.5.0 Released (VST3)
This is great news! I have a ton of VST3 plugins that I usually just don't use. Even with a workaround host plug like bluecat patchwork it's just too much hassle. But if VST3 plugins now appear in the browser alongside VST2, then that is great.

Re: What are your deepest dreams/visions about Reason?
Along with the usual stuff, I think having more colors would go a long way to making the user experience more enjoyable. Even let us pick colors from a map or something. Or give us different palettes to choose from. The current color palette is so ugly and dated.

Re: Compressors RE/VST - Your Favourites?
RE-2A for sure, goes on the front of any vocal, bass guitar, or other track that doesn't have big attack transients. It's really insane that one of the best compressor plugins is unavailable now. I'm incredibly picky about compressors. The only other one that is my goto is the FabFilter Pro-C. I hav...

Re: VSTs are too small now in Reason 12
seratoautoscale.jpg To illustrate, here are screenshots of Serato Sample with autoscale turned on, and then off. AutoScale ON - GUI is blurry and not scaled to fit the window, only part of the GUI is visible. AutoScale OFF - GUI is crisp and clear, but still not centered or fitting the window so it...

Several VSTs are unusable now after the autoscale feature was introduced, for me. Whether I turn the feature on or off, certain VSTs just won't render correctly at all.

Re: Reason 12.2.7 Release Notes
Any Serato Sample owners? I am experiencing a bug where Serato Samples GUI does not fully display the whole GUI. The bottom and right hand side of the GUI get cut off which makes some of Serato Samples functions not useable as you can't get to them. Anyone else experiencing this? This was happening...

Re: Reason 12.2.7 Release Notes
I'm still waiting for a fix to the display issues with VSTs ever since they introduce the autoscaling feature. Some VSTs simply can't be used now, regardless of whether autoscale is enabled or not. The GUI is either small in a corner and unusable, or blurry and cropped and still in a corner and unus...

VST scaling seems to be completely broken for me
Maybe others aren't experiencing this, hopefully it's just me. But the recent feature to disable VST autoscaling doesn't work for any VST I've tried (and I've tried many). If I enable that feature, VST windows just look all jacked up and I can't interact with anything. I literally haven't found a si...

Auto Scale VST buggy?
See the image. Ovox is set to use Windows scaling, but it still shows up as the same small rectangle, just inset within a larger box, and it looks fuzzy and none of the controls can be accessed.

Re: R12 refund. Enough is enough.
The main bug driving me nuts right now is the default "AIF" export introduced in one of the recent updates. Who the hell even uses AIF? And why does it remember I used WAV last time when it suggests a filename, but still chooses AIF? I can't count how many exported files I have now like XYZ.wav.aif....

Since two updates ago, audio export always defaults to AIF
Is this a bug or a feature? I can't count how many times I accidentally exported an AIF file these days. And Reason even "remembers" that I used WAV last time, and puts ".wav" at the end up the filename... before the extension. So I get a lot of exported files names "XYZ.wav.aif", because Reason rea...

Re: 12.2.4 Released
The autoscale feature is a step in the right direction, but feels like a tedious workaround rather than an actual solution. I have probably hundreds of VSTs. Do I really need to manually toggle autoscale on each one? Very few of them work fine as is (on a 4k 43 inch screen), so I would really like t...
