Re: CORIOLIS FORCE (Sustainer, Parallel Pitch-Shifter, Filter, Wah, Tape-Stop/Play Stompbox fx)
You can easy realise what you want in Reason. I build Combi with this functional and attaching it.. Combi have one HOLD button. If button not used, you can play with DRY signal, no wet signal at all. When pressing Combi Hold, no more dry signal, used only pitched and holded Wet signal. This is what...

Re: CORIOLIS FORCE (Sustainer, Parallel Pitch-Shifter, Filter, Wah, Tape-Stop/Play Stompbox fx)
I've instantly bought most of what Turn2On has done, including Coriolis Force, which is incredible. I do have a question though: is it possible to only have the wet signal present when the hold button is engaged? As in, in many cases, I'd like for the signal to be completely dry, aside from what's b...

Simple Mono/Stereo Quesiton
I slimmed down my guitar track template within Reason a while back, and decided to add 1 extra AMP RE, panning the existing one hard left, the new one hard right. There's also a bass amp sim panned center. I forgot to do A/B testing when doing this, so my question is- Would it sound any different to...

Re: Any ideas or requests for a new RE?
Any vocoder/ guitar synth (synth "effects" applicable to audio tracks) that is minimalist in design would be an instant buy from me personally.

Turn2On Appreciation Post
Inspired by their "Ghammy" rack extension recently released, another instant buy from me, I am just so enamored with what Turn2On has been doing, that I need to say something! As a chorus snob, Cronus most often has the most realistic "analog" chorus sound out of the 8 or so RE's I own (the other fu...

What Are Your Compression Habits?
What percentage of tracks in a given mix do you add compression to?
What do you hear when listening to a track when you think "this track could use some compression"?
Just evaluating my own process in mixing, curious about yours!

Re: closest to the real acoustic instruments?
Bass is reasonable to emulate in my opinion, there are a few good options, Toontrack is coming out with EZBass on May 19 which I'm sure will be really good (I'd get it if I didn't own basses) Not sure about guitar, it's a particularly tough instrument to emulate in my opinion. Drums= Toontrack Super...

Re: Reverb Signal Chain Question
There are no rules, as far as I am aware. At the end of the day, it’s how it sounds to you. That’s the brilliantly creative opportunities that Reason (other DAWS are available) gives you. Look up how Phil Collins got that fantastic gated reverb drum sound - that was a happy accident, that has been ...

Reverb Signal Chain Question
Recently I am trying to get into a habit of mixing after all sound design/ composing has happened. After I bounce all of my tracks to wav, which have all "creative" effects already applied to them, I then have been applying compression/eq/de-ess/etc. to each channel as needed. It crossed my mind tha...

Re: Just sent this letter to the Props
Not a fan of the idea, sorry. :( If anything, maybe a separate "collaboration" forum/messaging system here, or better, on the RS website itself might work to some extent. Means of finding others with compatible aspirations is everything, and that alone is quite a task. Sharing tools with others is n...

They're extending trial periods for their plugins! I'm hoping they do a sale soon, Pro-Q had me sold within minutes.

Re: Master Tuner Question
Hmm, thanks for the reply, I didn't think some REs could ignore it! As far as I'm aware, REs are required to adapt to the master tuning. At least it is listed as a requirement in the development acceptance txt. Unless it slipped through the acceptance testing, every RE should follow the master tune...

Master Tuner Question
Can anyone remind me- the master tune in Preferences > Audio,
If I were to tune it up or down (ex: 440+16 cents), which of these does it effect?-
A. RE instruments
B. VST instruments
C. Incoming audio tracks being recorded
If I remember correctly, it effects A + B, but leaves C alone, right?

Re: Reason Won't Recognize SWAM Plugin
I'm curious if they will update the SWAM-W engine in the future to not use samples at all. It's the only one in their line of products that does. SWAM-S (strings) and SWAM-B (brass) which was just released, both use no samples. So crazy. I never thought I'd hear a plugin like this without crazy hyp...

Re: Reason Won't Recognize SWAM Plugin
How are you liking the SWAM saxes? What are you using to control them? They sound excellent! They also seem like they'll take really well to reverbs/ processing in general, which I can't say the same about a lot of other acoustic instrument VSTi I've used. It seems easy to use, but at the same time...

Re: Reason Won't Recognize SWAM Plugin
I am on Mac, thank you for the quick response!- I cannot seem to identify what the symlink is- I'll attach what my Components folder and VST folder looks like, am I deleting the SWAM files currently in the VST folder, then copying the components into the VST folder/ renaming the components to VST? ...

Re: Reason Won't Recognize SWAM Plugin
Are you on macOS? SWAM plugins use polymorphism—AU/VST/AAX all in the same component. So inside the VST folder is a symlink that points to the plugin in the Components folder. This works and is recognized in other DAWs, but not in Reason. I wish it did work, and I wish more plugins did this to save...

How Often Reward's REs Change?
Just curious if anyone knows how often the REs available in the rewards section switch up, recently upgraded to R11 and have some sweet points to use at some point!
