Sorry Reason really loved you but i can't keep you :(

First i'm a huge fan of Reason since v2.5 ( it was a bundle with Recycle, for something like 250€, i jumped on the 3 months payement without fees ^^), i've updated a few times, Propellerhead has made an awesome soft. and 129€ for an update indepedently of the user's version is very honest, so after ...

Re: To strengthen expansion, Verdane invests in Propellerhead, becoming majority shareholder

It's not new... Propellerhead care more about money making than customers satisfaction ^^ ( i think that i'll make a lot of friends here... but we are not on the Propellerhead forum... oh yes there is no more Props forum... ) Where are the rude "pro-Propellerhead conservative guys" back in the days ...

A more rapid way to connect devices.

Hi there, When you want, for example, plug Kongs separate outputs to individual mixer channels, you have to manually drag and drop the cables for each outputs. Actually when you plug a right channel output to a right input, Reason automatically plug the Left output to the left input which is nice, i...

Re: Specific Kong question

If someone fall on this behaviour with kong or redrum ( for ex. driving a NN19 with a gate ), in "live" mode, there is a small random delay, but when played with the sequencer, everything is fine.

thx wrote:Yeah LINK grouped drums are locked tight, sample-perfect. But the (CV) gated drums are looser than the cable graphics used to represent to them. :D
Okay now i understand, it's because of the cable impedance and imperfections... that's quite realist :D thanks for your answer ;)

Re: i love reason..but...

But the more I work with Reason the more I feel Cubase is behind, at least when it comes to electronic music production and sound design. For me Cubase and Reason are 2 different "things", before "Record" i used to use Reason as an external very powerfull instrument and sound design tool. Now Reaso...

Reason and RE resale question

Hi, I've seen this ont the Propellerhead website : Can I sell/transfer/buy used Rack Extensions? No, you will not be able to sell or transfer your Rack Extension licenses nor will you be able to buy used Rack Extension licenses. These are personal licenses that are tied to your account when you purc...

Re: Compression

Something else I'd like to ask, is a visual representation of what the compressor is doing (see attached pics) very useful and beneficial?I get the feeling both could be useful in different ways. I would like this for the MClass Compressor. There is a gain visualisation reduction on the MClass comp...

Re: Compression

A compressor is not necessary on all instruments, and it depend of the style of music you're making. You can use a compressor as a dynamic flattener, or as "transient shaper" tool... specially with drums hit. While some use to squash the sound with a 3db dynamic ( the range between the loudest and t...

Specific Kong question

Hi, Okay i don't really know what to think about this, when for example you want to duplicate a drum hit ( the same sample ) within the Kong sampler, and pan them one left and the other right, by linking them with gate, the snare seem to navigate at each strike in the stereo field. While when using ...

Re: Sequencer view expand + The infamous wires

And yes, a better space use of the sequencer top lane ( where there is Start, and Position time ), replace both with a single parameter, like a button named "Position" with at the right a single entry box ( 1 . 1. 1. 1 ) if you want to mofify it click on "Position", 2 choices ( buttons ) appear and ...

Re: Sequencer view expand + The infamous wires

Yes some sequencer UI tweaks is welcome, more shortcut keys or custom shortcut keys. You can actually CTRL-mousewheel ( to zoom the track vertical size ), Shift-Mousewheel to scrool along the timeline, and Alt-Mousewheel to scroll the sequencer vertically, but when you use Alt-mousewheel window focu...

Little this and that

Hi there, I suggest : - a simple folder device holder ( like the combinator but without any buttons or programmer ), just a simple case with a tape written what's inside ( or whatever you want )when minimized, and that could off course fit inside a Combiantor. There is blank plates to separate thing...

Re: CV offset within the combinator ?

Janitor CV Shaper (Lectric Panda) does that, with it you can scale or offset CVs (and also change the attack and decay of the signal): janitor.PNG https://shop.propellerheads.se/product/janitor-cv-shaper/ You can also do this with DVC-1 (RavenHerz), by programming an addition between two CVs (as th...

Yes it's not a scaling function, and i think we think about the same thing. :)
Effectively within Thor it can be achieved, thanks for the trick Selig ;)

CV offset within the combinator ?

Hello, I'm looking for a way to offset a cv with another one, for example, on rotary one there is an LFO linked with min: -50 and max: +50 on a Thor filter ( for ex. ) and i want to use rotary 2 as an offseter, let say min : -10, max: +10, so finally when moving rotary 2 to minimum, the LFO move bet...
