Hey everyone,
I’ve moved on to Reaper and using other software. I no longer use or want my Reason 11 Suite license. I’d accept any reasonable offer if anyone is interested.
I don’t post here often so apologies to the mods if this is the wrong forum channel or against rules.
Thanks,
Grant

Re: audio file lag when recording guitar
Just to expand on what Proboscis said, you can reduce recording latency by setting the buffer size as low as your machine will allow before you hear clicks or pops. When I'm recording guitar, vocals, or anything really, I always set my buffer size to 64 samples temporarily. But once you are done rec...

Handling external hardware latency
I've been looking into purchasing an external 1176-style compressor and recently learned about Studio One's Pipeline XT which will measure the latency sent through the hardware and offset the signal so there isn't any phase or timing issues, which is awesome. Does Reason have anything like this or i...

Sampling for newbie
Hey guys, I'm trying to accomplish something that seems very simple but I'm having a hard time getting the result I want. I want to take a small section of my vocal track, sample it, and then be able to play that sample on my keyboard like a piano. I am able to bounce to sample just fine. Simple eno...

Re: Announcing Reason 11
Their next step is obviously Processed Kalimbas, A-list Ukulele and Umpf Cowbells & Triangles. I'm sure we can all agree that these things should be the top priority for Props right now. I've got a fever (I actually do right now lol) and the only prescription is Umpf Cowbells. Seriously thoug...

Re: Updated site. Can’t log-in to account.
I thought they would launch an entirely new website (logos, layout, everything), with a complete rebranding of Reason instead of just changing the company logo and replacing the word Propellerhead with Reason Studios. Does it matter at all? I guess not. Is this just yet another instance of me being ...

Re: Announcing Reason 11
The RE platform - as seen e.g. in the Juce YT videos - was conceived as a really forward-thinking framework and now it can clearly both transform REs into VSTs (Europa was the test case) or run as a VST in other DAWs (Rack VST). It can also be ported to browser / mobile and hardware, but that's not...

Changing ReasonTalk username
Is there any way to change our ReasonTalk username? I'd like to change it to 'gaclab' as this is what I use for all my other accounts elsewhere.

Re: Announcing Reason 11
This thread has grown rather toxic and it's understandable. I'd like to apologize for my part in that though and just say that I appreciate you guys and this community and I still love Reason. TBH I spend almost all of time in the Reason General section on here. I needed to take a break from the R11...

Re: Announcing Reason 11
Wow every step forward with this DAW is a fight. You can't express how helpful it would be to have a simple mix knob on the MClass compressor without getting into the weeds about ratios and whether you actually need it or not or talking about work-arounds. If you want to be able to export to MP3, th...

Re: Announcing Reason 11
Can't see the dry / wet knob or ratio on the compressor, the number of treash There are no frequency numbers in the EQ. Is this an update in 2019? Ratio's there...? And there are numbers for all parameters including frequency, they appear on hover and click like most other rotaries in Reason. There...

Re: Humble Pie
I've also spent two days using Studio One and am actually quite happy with with it so far. If Reason is your DAW and it's getting things done for you, by all means do what makes you happy. I agree though that I'd give it some time before making a judgment. I'm using the tutorials on Groove3 to help ...

Re: Do you miss Allihoopa? Alternatives?
My experience with Alihoopa was meh. I always found it difficult to find music that I could actually collaborate or work with. That might have been me just not understanding the platform or that I primarily work on pop/rock stuff but it didn't seem very intuitive from my perspective. And it could ha...

Re: Announcing Reason 11
Im going to try a trial of Studio One. All being good, ill purchase it on a monthly Rent-To-Own and upgrade to Reason 11 so I and take my stuff with me. I'll hopefully slowly transition out of Reason over the coming years. I do have some concerns over performance of Reason as a VST but ill have my ...

Re: Relatively New Reason User Just Starting Out
Haha yes, that is me. For clarity "Chimp Spanner" is a username I chose for Soundclick (remember that?) back when I started writing music. Figured it'd just be a temporary thing. Seems to have followed me around well into adulthood. At least it's erm, unique? :/ Also thanks for the shoutout on the ...

Thanks for all the help guys! Really appreciate it! I'm still learning what a 808 bass sounds like, which I guess is all over the place really after adding saturation and the drum attack.
