Yeah, you get the new version and you keep the old version. I have 8, 9, and 10 on my machine. Reason used to have Line 6 guitar and bass REs, but they replaced them with Softube amps in Reason 9. I presume it's to preserve backward compatibility. Propellerhead is really good about that.

Using the car analogy again, it's like telling the officer who just pulled you over that you "averaged" well below the speed limit - however, all they are concerned with is that you PEAKED over the speed limit! Same for levels as regards clipping, it's the peak level that matters, not the average. ...

I'm having the same issue on my UA Apollo Twin.
Interestingly enough, it worked fine last week. Then this weekend it started misbehaving.
