Re: Mäag EQ4 $29.99 ⚡️ 24H Flash Sale
Did someone ask why the Maag EQ4 is good? Out of all the analog modeled EQs we question the Maag?

Re: Ever do a complete OS reinstall just to tidy up your brain?
I do this when I've completed a big project or two. Since I save everything on external hard drives, I'll wipe the computer and install the new OS that comes out each time. So when I move to Big Sur, I'll be wiping my SSD, and reinstalling everything over again. Had my Mac mini since 2012

I tend to stick with Europa and Grain. They just work for me.

Re: Headphones for mixing and recording
If you want a tad bit more bass the M40s come out a bit better. Some people have said they deliver a more flat response than the M30. I can tell you the M30s can get fatiguing though as everything is upfront. The response graph on this site pretty much sums up what I hear, but it’s not as practica ...

Re: Softube's new MiniMoog emulation - Model 72
I got The Legend cause of access in Reason, Monark in NI, but its nothing like $300 for a Boog Model D. End all be all. Yes I will be collecting a Poly D sometime in the near future as well. I've been eyeing the Behringer Model D - however... my pause to not buy isn't because of the extra cost comp...

The AI has always done too much in my taste. I’ve stopped the usage for it except when I can’t choose a limited out of the 50 we have Yeah, but it gives me a great start. But the eq I always have to dial back. True. I’ve found that the dynamic EQ into the limiter it chooses works extremely well wit...

Re: Spread Stereo Width VST on Sale
Just grab the free iZotope Imager - it is really good. For old school widening SoundToys MicroShift is great. For analog synths sounds a Juno style good chorus works best. The stock Stereo Widener is useful if you want to completely destroy the sound at the same time, but does nothing on mono sound...

Knew about this for a minute since I used to be on Pro Tools for about 7-8 years. The fact its even in a special location is the most annoying part.

Re: Headphones for mixing and recording
So, Im just weighing things up for the final time, and I just have two final questions if anyone can help: 1. Will a focusrite solo audio interface be powerful enough for 250ohm headphones? 2. Most recommended headphones are less than 80ohm, is that hugely significant compared to freq range? thanks...

Re: Headphones for mixing and recording
If you go the AT route, I'd recommend the M30x/M40x with Sonarworks. Much more balanced than the M50x. The bass and low mid increase is really overwhelming even with SW correction on the M50. (User of the M30x, M50x and non X, M70x, and Sennheiser HD700) that's interesting I've never had any of the...

Re: Does SoundCloud change the audio when uploading?
Soundcloud reproduces an Opus based format IIRC. It's' worst than a decent MP3 and definitely not 320 kbps. Bottom line, there's nothing you can really do. Some people have decided to "optimize" their masters for playback on SoundCloud but I think that's utterly unnecessary if the audio playback con...

Re: Soundtoys Echoboy anyone?
Echoboy is a delay like other SoundToys plugins that give tweak able analog characteristics you may not have in other delay plugins. I'll use it if I somehow think it fits but I don't try to tweak my own presets. Nobody got time for that. Echoboy Jr. Is GREAT when you just want that particular echo ...

Re: Reason Studios recruit Beta Testers!
As much as I have my own sentiments with Reason Studios, I guess I'll give it a whirl. I want to see if RS will ACTUALLY turn around a community they've been silent about. Plus Enlightspeed has a point. This may cause me to use my laptop for some production work testing out different things and comb...
