Re: Announcing Reason 13
... I also understand that product managers need both positive and negative feedback to help shape their future directions. My original point was simply giving credit to PMs who develop thick skins and can wade through the constant negativity. Kudos to them because I wouldn't want to have to deal w...

Re: Announcing Reason 13
All DAWs have their weaknesses. I like that Reason keeps it simple and doesn't give that awkward feeling of being overloaded.

Re: Announcing Reason 13
I can't imagine what it must be like to be a software PM and dealing with people's constant negativity. No matter what you do, there will always be someone there to complain about it. Reason updates are rare and cost $199 so I can understand that some people are disappointed if they were hoping for...

Re: Reason 12.2.10 Release Notes
I have desintalled Reason 11 yesterday, because I was happy with R12 since the last updates.

Have any of you experienced the same thing ?

Re: Reason is rather quiet lately....
I was hopping a new update every month because R12 is still unusable on my computer (hopefully R11 works like a charm). We are now 7 months since the launch of R12 and it cannot be considered a finished product. I still can't understand how we got there because Reason's strengths were its stability ...

Re: Reason 12.2.1 Release Notes
Well, R12 was unusable on my computer, but I found a way to have it running fast. I am on Windows 10, and I have to force Windows to use my GPU when using Reason 12. It's on the Display settings of Windows, at the bottom there is "Graphics settings". Here you add the Reason 12 app, and then choose "...

Re: Reason 12.2.1 Release Notes
I loved R11 (never understood really why so many were hateful about it) but I see R12 as not ready for release. The more I test R12, the more I love R11, that is very stable and efficient. I took the time to compare carefully R12 (12.2.1) and R11 on my computer and it's clear that I can't use R12 a...

Re: Reason 12.2.1 Release Notes
I also have noticed some bugs in this upgrade 12.2.1d50 : - "New devices get browse focus" don't work - I have a strange popup when I quit and reopen Reason (title = test, message = the specified semaphore already exists (10081036)) - still an unexpected red line at the bottom of the browser - R12 i...

Re: Interview with Ernst Nathorst-Böös 2003 - everything has happened as predicted
This is what I have said in another thread when R11 ans the RRP came out : So there was a tendency to open Reason to the ouside world (RE was the first step, then internal VST support and now Reason as a plugin). But now it seems that Reason Studios want to take back control on Reason and bring it t...

Re: Reason 12 has arrived
So I have R11, that is working fine, and R12 that I can't use at the moment due to performance issues.
So I use R11 in the meantime.
But I wonder what have happened if I was a Reason+ user... I suppose it's impossible to revert to a safe situation once you have upgraded to the last Reason+ version ?

Re: So, Reason Studios wants feedback.
So I'm using the "virtual microphone" to ask for theses improvments : For the DAW * snap setting : absolute or relative by default in the Preferences * snap offset "handle" to fix a point in the audio clip where the snap occurs (not only the beginning of the audio clip as it is now) * low-res option...

Re: New Pricing for Reason 12 - Upgrades now 199 from 129
I just can't believe this news. RS nearly force us to buy another DAW, and now we have this : - + 100$ for an product that can be seen now as only a plugin among many brillant others - 200$ for just an upgrade of this plugin, and the content of the update is often disappointing because it rarely mee...

Re: Cakewalk vs Reason
There is only one thing that annoy me, it's that there is a bug when you use the Reason Rack plugin within Cakewalk : you can't pass the keystrokes to the plugin, so you can't use Tab to flip the rack, or type something in the browser search field. Don't know if it's Cakewalk or Reason fault, as it...

Re: Cakewalk vs Reason
As Reason 12 is unusable on my computer (every action is too slow), I am forced to find another DAW. As I am on Windows, there is this free Cakewalk by bandlab. I have tested it and I must admit that it's an amazing piece of software. And it looks great too. And very stable so far. There is only one...

Re: Reason 12 has arrived
R12 (standalone) is the first Reason update that will not work on my computer. I have put my money in it, but it's just unusable, each action is way too long or too slow. There must be a "low res" option so that we can use R12 with the same performance as in R11 . I have no problem with R11. I have ...

Mimic looks cool.
I'm pretty sure that it will have pitch-detection, reverse sample and rex import in slice mode when R12 will be launched in September, because older devices have that and nobody would understand that this brand new baby can't do that as well...

I too like better the new look but then again I will never see it because I never used it ever in a song Ok youre right, it makes mybe more sense at the bottom of the sequencer, because its part of it and so it has to look the same. Sounds logical. But I reaslised that there are more amd more logic...

Re: Reason 12 is coming!
In the sequencer, in Comp edit mode, you can click and drag the recording horizontally in a audio clip to set a Recording Offset.
It can be a nice addition to be able to do this directly on a audio clip without the need to open it in Comp edit mode. And why not on midi clips too...

Hope they will implement this little thing : the ability to quickly add a snap point anywhere in a clip so that the clip snap to the grid at this particular point and not only the beginning of the clip. This way you can align the clip to the grid at a particular transcient or at the end of the clip....

Re: Has VST-support ruined Reason?
When I use Reason alone, I tend to use the internal devices first, you can do a lot with them and some creativity. I have chosen Reason because I was tired of all these VST plugins incompatibilities (32 bit, 64 bit VST2, 64 bit VST3, and what next...), some will continue to work in your DAW, some wo...
