Re: What features are REALLY necessary for Reason 11
1) Multiple Lanes on Audio Tracks -so that audio clips on one track can overlap and blend easily and non-destructively 2) Per-Audio Clip ‘Private Insert Rack’: A unique (private) audio effect rack on an Audio Clip by Audio Clip basis. (Using Pre-rendered optimization) This is major in its implicatio...

[request granted] Reason Rack as a VST
Just throwing this out there.... What if Propellerhead were to take the rack ecosystem along with its devices and made that in and of itself a VST? -essentially selling a version of Reason (minus the reason DAW) for use on any DAW? The VST would itself be a the flippable Rack even supporting 3rd par...

Re: Reason 10 support arrives for rsTouch!
rsTouch is definitely impressive and a no brainer for anyone with an iPad who uses Reason. Well worth it.
Supports quite a few REs out there too.

Re: Propellerhead introduces Layers synth.
One oversight with this synth... GLIDE/PORTAMENTO ?!?
Especially since it has a 4 poly mode giving you the sound of four stacked 80’s style mono synths. One would think that having a separate glide setting for each layer, would have opened up the possibility of some nice glide effects.

Re: NN-XT Gurus: making global velocity adjustments..
This is pretty much the solution. Going group by group. Provided of course that the samples are separated into groups by velocity. Clicking on the left side of the zone edit screen will select the entire group so it's not as tedious as selecting sample by sample at the least. Ahh... I was using the...

NN-XT Gurus: making global velocity adjustments..
Hi, I have a patch I purchased for NN-XT that consist of 4 velocity samples per note of an instrument. However, the instrument does nor respond to velocity the way I would like it to. I don't want to adjust the velocity curve of the keyboard I'm using as I'm mixing this set of samples with some othe...

Re: Input Velocity Scaling or Compression such as those found in Live and Bitwig 2
Oh man... is this really that state of affairs with manipulating velocity in realtime? Me not too happy :( I came here looking for a way to adjust the velocity curve of an instrument too... the problem I have is that I'm layering some instruments, but one of them is not responding to velocity the wa...

Re: That battle of the 9$ synths
I love kraft but my only downside with it is that I have to use a combinator with each instance to have any external modulation which it's whatever because that's how I work anyways but the rotaries get filled up quick and there aren't enough slots in the combinator I got noxious and it seems fun I...

Re: Snapping notes to the grid
I'm finding the 'Relative Snapping' in Reason a bit limiting too. It works for some things, but not everything. I remember when Cakewalk Sonar (now Roland) adopted both 'Snap By' (relative) and 'Snap To' (absolute). 'Snap By' is how Reason currently operates. Having both forms of Snap is a real game...

Re: Reason 9: Scalable Rack? I don't think so :(
Change the screen resolution? Maybe? Changing screen resolution affects everything you're looking at and throws away screen estate for other elements of reason, which isn't particularly desirable. In effect that is like time traveling to the past when the rack devices were more visible and losing t...

Re: Reason 9: Scalable Rack? I don't think so :(
Thanks buddard (Robotic Bean Creative) and Selig for your developer insights. This is a completly bizarre coincidence, but with the May Madness Sale I purchased only two items that I had my eye on and they both happened to be Selig and Robotic Bean: Step (with the CV selector) and Leveler. Thanks to...

Re: Reason 9: Scalable Rack? I don't think so :(
The rack is just over 7 inches wide on my retina mac, and feels pretty much as it did back in 2003 when I first started using Reason - maybe what you're seeing is something more evident on a Windows machine? Thanks for measuring, Selig. My rack is exactly 6.5 inches wide on my MacBook Pro retina (n...

Reason 9: Scalable Rack? I don't think so :(
I really don't want to complain. I really don't. I love Reason. But seriously... Is the rack Still going to retain the restricted pixel sizing from an era when we used 800 and 1024 pixel width displays? The devices are getting so small on higher resolution displays that it's not as enjoyable to twid...
