Re: New (Free!) RE: Macro multi model synthesizer

Amazing device and congrats. This thing is going to be great for the Reason community at large. I dreamed of someone porting Plaits to Reason and this thing knocks it out of the park. And re: the cv inputs,. This thing seems to have a great amount. That being said, I love the combinator's possibilit...

Re: Well integrated control surfaces for Reason 12?

You'll hear everyone around hear endorse Nektar for good cause, there is more support from both the company and users for Reason integration. PoohBear on YouTube has several videos comparing the different Nektar keyboards and integrations. My keyboard/controller broke recently, and I replaced it wit...

Re: Reason Studios shares their roadmap

I feel you scotward57. I upgraded to 12 before the upgrade bump because I was making some cool new Combinator wrappers for my often used vsts, which I really wanted to keep access to (I'm really happy with what I did to VulfComp, and even prefer my re-design over the VST implementation, especially i...

Re: VSTs are too small now in Reason 12

An interesting thought, every single jack at the back of the device would be useless in that mode but I guess for some that doesn't matter. We're generally wary of having too many floating windows, it's not ideal design, but who knows! I always thought the solution would be so have modular panels, ...

Re: Is Audiomatic Tape setting a good emulation?

That could be a really fun Combinator project - recreate the Audiomatic patches as individual combi's with more adjustable parameters. Yeah, I really like this idea. I believe Selig has already shared his contributions to Audiomatic here on RT (but built with stock devices). I think TAPE was one of...

Re: Is Audiomatic Tape setting a good emulation?

Don't forget the modular magic that is the Reason rack. You can add other elements to Audiomatic... more hiss or color, add some other devices. Fun fact: All the effects used to create Audiomatic were built from stock devices already found inside Reason. That could be a really fun Combinator projec...

Re: Goodhertz Vulf Compressor Combinator

Thanks Quarmat! It sounds great with drums, especially throwing it on some of the Reason Drums Kit Rack sounds can get some beautiful sounding percussion. I think I got it during a black friday sale some years back, so they had a 3 for 1 deal and picked up a few other Goodhertz plugins as well. I de...

Goodhertz Vulf Compressor Combinator

I'm a big fan of the Vulf Compressor by Goodhertz . I'm also really enjoying the new combinator, and inspired by Quarmat's OTT Combinator wrapper, I thought I'd take a stab at making my own combinator for the vulf comp. This is my time designing something like this, so feedback is welcome. Please do...

Re: Last minute update advice?

After seeing massive sound design and workflow benefits of the new combinator, I immediately knew I didn't ever want to lose access to some of these creations. I ended up getting the $129 upgrade through Klarna last night, so at least I don't have to fork it all at once.

Re: Chords with Complex-1

Sadly, Distributor is not free. CVPT could be a free option. Dang it, not sure why I thought Distributor was free, sorry about that! Distributor is worth it IMO, as it's actually better for the job IMO. For example, CVPT cannot limit the number of voices to, say, four as in my example. So if you pl...

Re: Scoring a movie in Reason 10

100% can say that VidPlay is the best option available at the moment. I was the Sound Director on this project, doing the majority of sound design, sound editing, scoring and arranging with Reason... CULTURESPORT.tv It can get cumbersome, so just plan ahead and make sure you are staying organized. I...

Wow, that is so generous Enlightenspeed! - I think something basic like that could be nice. Obviously there is a whole rabbit whole that could expand from that into a paid version - but me being a lover of randomness have to ask if there could be 5th option to select a random note (perhaps from any ...

CULTURESPORT - My Animated Series - Sound Designed in Reason

Hey everyone, I wanted to take the time to announce the release of the animated series I've been working on for the past 5 years called CULTURESPORT. I originally joined the project as a sound designer (been using Reason for over 15 years now) and soon found myself learning 3D animation and working ...

Nothing's perfect, I can rewire and keep it movin. Well, for the first time in my DAW journey, I may be joining you in utilizing ReWire as a common connectivity option. I have only ever used it once, and that was to test what everyone was going on about. Watching these BW3 videos, I can really star...

Re: Allihoopa is closing down :(

Allihoopa entered into eternal rest on January 17, 2019. Born as "Drop to Proplellerhead" on December 18, 2014 in Reason 8.1, Allihoopa allowed Reason users to conveniently bounce mix-downs of projects to the web for their own private or public collection. Allihoopa came into it's own on February 22...

Well, if you're not a touring musician/band/artist or hobbyist that needs to play on stage with hardware , then this probably won't be exciting to you. I am a touring artist and I find the possibility of bringing some of my favorite racks to hardware very exciting. Even if I could use an iPad inste...
