You should watch Nymphomaniac. It's awesome. Part one AND two.
It's on Netflix. Too much talking. Body doubles were used, so no risks for the actors. Not sure why it was in two parts. Can't remember. I fell asleep. Twice.
It was actually fake dicks.

Holy... Could people please get down from their piedestals and stop acting like they're 50% smarter than anyone else? Why do you guys even bother discussing this over and over again? This would lead me to believe that you have no clue what Europa can do if you think Subtractor is equally as capable.

For a first-time buyer with no plugins? Europa and Grain are massive values and absolutely needed for those buyers.
Yeah and you'll say the same about the next upgrade with another 2 completely unnecessary devices, because you're a biased fanboy.

Re: Propellerheads might be waking up finally. Not that it means anything yet.

Let's face it: OUTSIDE the Reason community (and sometimes inside as well) the common opinion of Reason devices is that they sound "dated", not "modern" enough, and samples found in ReFills like Orkester are "bland" or "lackluster" at best. It must be stressed that this is not my personal opinion. ...

Now think of that person who is shopping around for their first DAW. They don't have expensive VSTs, sample packs, loop packs, or presets.
They get all that with Reason 9. Loads of samples, more than they'll ever use. And a crapload of devices. No need for Europa or Grain. At all.

Re: Propellerheads might be waking up finally. Not that it means anything yet.

Pure speculation, and the fact that they've survived this long as a company doesn't seem to line up with your statement. They've survived this long by making huge improvements to the software. Not by mindlessly tacking on devices like they're doing now. It's like what Psuper said, they should put t...

I think this will be one of those things that you'll like instantly and despise a week later. [/color] what do you mean ? Because first you'll be wow'ed by the sound of the presets (which you probably could also get somewhere else) , and when you start to get to work with it, you'll soon be annoyed...

Look in the Windows performance monitor how much memory you're using and how much CPU power is being used and make a decision based on that information.

Props develop the back-end, SDK, performance, options, GUI. No one else can.
RE devs develop the now-expanding playground.

If Props insists on making devices, put them in the RE shop.

All problems solved.
Exactly.
