Re: Nektar Panorama Remote Maps Thread
First off I want to thank Lizard and everyone else in this thread for what you guys and girls are doing. It is obviously working for people but for some reason it's not working for me for the following: Has anyone else had any difficulty using the remote maps file as posted on page one of this thre...

Re: Link is da bomb!
I've used Link only for iOS to iOS linking, both in a single device and across multiple devices for live performance. Worked like a charm, perfect sync with no 'hiccups' whatsoever. Love the fact there's no master/slave relationship - wish ReWire was this flexible! :) And an open SDK. Ableton is li...

Re: Is it possible to use Maschine and Reason like this?
This can be done with MIDI and audio loopback software, effectively creating virtual MIDI busses and audio outputs / inputs. Theres a stickied post in the tips and tricks section that outlines how to do this and what you need. I fortunately have a multi input and output audio interface (Saffire Pro ...

That was quick! Seems like only yesterday that the Nostromo made a huge splash. Looking forward to trying this out after work!

Yeah man I've said this before. I kinda understand why they've needed to broaden their appeal beyond the modular crowd, and focus on the songwriters. And I'm glad that they've put some focus on that side of things because it's helping me out tremendously right now. But yeah, Reason's strength is pr...

Re: Do You Like To See Vectorial Reason?
I use the Mac zoom as others have described, and I really don't see how they can't implement that same zoom and smoothing technology in the rack, even as a temporary measure while they give it an overhaul. A 9.x update with this feature would probably push me over the upgrade edge. Sent from my SGH-...

Re: SDK III
I definitely was going for the payment plan of a purchase, not a subscription model. I think it would work in the favour of both devs and users as it would entice people to buy higher end REs they wouldn't necessarily think to purchase or be able to afford in one go, but could easily pay for across ...

Re: Notepad
Theres a couple ways you can do this. Theres simple text editors out there that can be "always on top" even if they're not the active application. You can size the window where you want it and go ahead with your recording. The second option, which I use involves using Googoe Docs in an open browser ...

Yes! Very good idea, having to hold down the left mouse button is a pain as well, the double click would make life a lot easier.

Re: New Redrum Design
Your best bet is a pre made template reason file. Keep it in your favourites in the browser. Open this up as needed and copy all the prerouted mix channels and redrum into your current project file. All the routing is preserved. Make another premade reason file for Kong or anything else. Sent from m...

Re: Attach Tool Window to right side of Sequencer
I'm for having the option to bolt the tool window as well, as long as its detachable. It would also be nice to swap right and left with the browser as well. The suggestions of commonly used tool actions would also be a great time saver.

Second the wishlists in the shop. It would also be cool to have monthly payment plans on our accounts. Miss a payment? The RE stops working until you're back on track.

Re: What are your most forgotten REs?
PH really should facilitate this, even if they took a small reasonable cut of the license transfer (like $2 max) I'd be willing to accept that. Micro transactions like that could end up making big money, and if PH managed those transactions I'm sure most of the people selling off REs would be using ...

Re: You can Now Rent to Own plugins !?!
For people who don't have the $100 to $200 it takes to buy a plugin this rent to own idea is great. Usually all of the music gear I've ever purchased have been financed into monthly payments and this is basically no different. It IS different in a VERY big and important way IMO, which you mention h...

Re: Current Rack Extension Sales (updated Aug 3)
I've said it before and I'll say it again: It would be nice to have a wishlist for our PH accounts to notify us of when things we're interested in go on sale. Wishlist stats could also be used to give RE developers feedback on interest in their products. I'm sure RE devs would appreciate this featur...

Re: Being a Troublemaker ...
Some folks moan about the notion that the players in Reason 9 make it ever more easier for someone with no skills (or talent?) to easily cobble together something that resembles music, thereby diminishing the value of computer music for everyone. What worries me even more is the very design of the ...

Re: About to Buy Logic, Please Talk Me into Reason 9 Instead
I second the suggestion to try the demos. The only demo cripple is the inability to open projects, but using the software is otherwise full featured. Reason's sound library is great for the applications that you describe, there's pretty much a patch for every instrument you can think of. You should ...
