Re: Not HD

Baylo helped me Loque and I thanked him. You made a point of casually insulting me and suggesting I was ignorant - moaning and complaining not reading release notes. Perhaps in your life you have the time to read copious amounts of release notes every time you download a program. I don't have that t...

The vendors have always provided HD artwork. You need to resync all your Rack Extensions, and there is a separate help article on getting the SoundIron and Radical Piano devices updated (you need to delete and redownload)
Thanks man. Super helpful.

Oh like it's to be expected to have to re-install a bunch of stuff after you've install a new version. Whatever dude.

[SOLVED] Not HD

Just sayin' It's not HD throughout the app like Ryan told me. Look:

Also why was my last post on this deleted? It's true, I was also told third party rack extensions would be HD but they're not. Looks like the vendors do have to provide HD artwork.

Ryan misled over Reason 12 HD imo

Hi just want to say how disappointed I am with the HD in Reason 12. And much as I love Ryan and his fantastic tutorials, I specifically asked him on YouTube how HD would work with third party rack devices and if each vendor would need to update their devices to render in HD. This was not an issue Ry...

Re: R10 users: What would sweeten the deal on R11 for you?

My wish is a bit pie-in-the-sky but is the ability to use Reason 11 as a VST 2. My favourite DAW is Renoise and sadly it doesn't natively support VST 3. I regularly rewire Renoise to Reason, using Renoise as my sequencer and the rack as my sound source. I'm sure there is a way to wrap a VST3 in Reno...

Pulverizer

I've been meaning to ask other Reason users about this one for a while... When I first got into Reason back on about V2.5 I remember being really impressed with Scream 4 and it's meaty tape saturation and generally awesome settings. When Pulverizer came along I was excited and thought another sound-...

Re: What features are REALLY necessary for Reason 11

Take a deep breath, be realistic. What features are REALLY necessary for a Reason update, that is still recognizably Reason. I would like to see much tighter integration with the WWE universe and not just superficial support so I'm talking Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber, Fastlane, WrestleMania a...

Re: I have been a GUI snob

This idea that music is all about the sound is pretentious nonsense. I don't care what the music sounds like. If it looks cool on-screen with bad ass virtual devices with awesome looking faders, controls and displays then it's cool as shit. It's even more awesome if the guy who made it has a sleeve ...

Velocity curves

Does Reason have any kind of velocity curve mapping? My Panarama P4 is driving me crazy with it's spongy keys. I've gone through all it's velocity maps and it's hardest one 'Hard2' isn't hard enough, yet the next options 'Fixed' bangs out every note at +127 velocity - the other extreme. I need somet...

Re: How many REs have you bought without a trial first?

Everything - I've never demoed anything yet. Never needed to! When I'm interested in a new RE people on here normally buy it ahead of me and if there's a consensus that it's cool I will normally pony up. I don't really have a problem with RE's not fitting into the music I make because I'm interested...

Re: Out of storage... Need to move RE library to other drive...

If you know how to make a junction in Windows you can cut and paste your Rack Extensions folder to a new drive and in the old place where it used to be (inside your Reason folders), create a junction pointing to the new folder. The junction must have exactly the same name as the Rack Extensions fold...

Re: Reason 10 announced!

People who already own Synchronous and Radical Piano should get a reduction. €20 off for each. YES! I would be happy to pay for a 9.5 to 10 upgrade if they recognised this. Valve does it with Steam when you buy a game bundle that includes stuff you already own. It's much fairer on the customer. I h...

Re: Reason 10 announced!

They are saying 'The Biggest Update. Ever', when is is clearly not even close. This is the Trump way, say the exact opposite of the truth but do it really really loud and with conviction. You nailed it - that is exactly what they are doing. By calling it the biggest update ever I think they are hop...

Re: I. Hate. Buying. And. Installing. VST.

Installation woes are a small price to pay for the enormity of access to VST in Reason.

The 9.5 release of Reason also transforms the upgrade from 9.x from being OK in terms of value (for the players) to absolutely outstanding.

Reason 10 will have a GUI overall where all current built-in rack instruments will be rendered from vector sources allowing custom sizes on all screen resolutions. 3rd party REs will be invited to adopt new vector assets.

Kong will be expanded to feature physically modelled cymbals.

Re: Using the NN-19 as a granular synth (solved, patches inside!)

If you have anything with a rate that you want to produce semitones or step up/down a musical scale you can use this formula: <new speed or rate> = <starting speed or rate> + <number of semitones up/down you want to go> (raised to the power of) 1.0594531 So you could do this with sample playback spe...
