Re: Does anyone actually benefit from instrument tags?

I'm a software engineer, have been for the last 40 years, that's where I get my insights :puf_wink: No functionality in the UI of the application to edit/add existing tags and categories means they are 'hard-coded', no matter how that is actually implemented. If they put a fixed set of tags in a da...

Re: Does anyone actually benefit from instrument tags?

Not a bad design, but a starting point IMO. It is a bad design, because if you are designing a tagging system, the first thing should be 'how do we manage the tags and categories'. Starting from a set of hard-coded tags and categories is basically starting backwards. I still hope that they get this...

Re: Does anyone actually benefit from instrument tags?

.... But now it seems to be a half assed implementation that let Reason studios tag their presets as they want, but not let me tag my presets the way I want. From a UX perspective, this is really bad design, and I really don't understand what they were thinking.... Not a bad design, but a starting ...

He is totally right - you have to see a poll with all the features we wish for at first on top of feature requests.

A poll that is very hard to overlook.

Why is this not there?
Maybe because nobody developed this? You can make a feature request at phpBB.

Re: Announcing Reason 13

Nope. The plugins/devices browser no longer has a favorites option. This has been discussed here at length. Yes, this is basically unchanged. As stated (and visible in the available videos), the only thing that changed with the three panes is that the dividers are much smaller, and they don't have ...

Re: Announcing Reason 13

Another browser question because there seems to be a lot of confusion; The R11 browser allows me to navigate my internal and external drives much like file manager, so I can locate and load VSTs and samples directly off my SSD drive or wherever. I have a bunch of locations set up in the R11 browser...

Re: Announcing Reason 13

1 I get why they introduced the floating browser for more features, but it's not making things faster. It's great for all the extra stuff, but not for quick workflow in the rack. They kinda messed up something that, even though outdated, worked really well, in my experience at least. If you were or...

Curious if the filter bank can be automated, especially later in the RE version? Sadly everything on the back of a RE must not be automatically says RS. So all backside FX cannot be automated or mapped in a Combinator. Yet. Oh, I had no idea that's a thing. That doesn't make a lot of sense after th...

And yet with every other DAW I've used, I've found myself missing many things in Reason. The ability to freely route audio/CV, the pitch editor (yes!), the inspector (one of the most missed features for me), and more. There's also plenty to complain about in Reason, just as there is in any other DA...
