Re: Reason Slow Performance - when is optimisation coming?

*set sarcasm=on*
I can run much more Subtractors now than the first time i tried Reason, so logically they must have done a massive performance improvement 🤔

Re: iZotope Vocal Doubler - FREE

Did not checked the Vocal double, but you need a delay which can handle very short latencies and does not "pitch" the sound when modulating. All delays will modulate when you shift the delay times. But that's fine, that's the thing you want here. You can use the simple delay of Reason for this. Wel...

Re: UJAM Virtual Bassist Line announced

I am not a bassist, but imo it sounds very bassy, dull and muddy. But imo most instruments that want to be like real instruments just suck and are only usefull for a simple line or filler here and there.

Re: Guys what is the best cpu for reason?

AS of the actual Reason implementation i would go for a CPU with fast single core performance and multiple cores, the more the better and the faster the better. Actually a new Intel with turbo >=5ghz and +6 cores i would recommend.

Re: iZotope Vocal Doubler - FREE

What I am hearing is a small delay (0-12 mseconds) and the delay time slowly being changed. You can easily build this kind of effect using a delay and an LFO. Did not checked the Vocal double, but you need a delay which can handle very short latencies and does not "pitch" the sound when modulating.

Hijackig my own thread here. I would like to map the "Paternize" sequence command to a Combinator button, but that seems not to be an option. If not, it would be a nice to include in a future upgrade.
Can it be accessed via the mod matrix of PSQ?

Re: Have Rigs upgrade ever been on sale?

I got awesome upgrade or loyalty offers from time to time in the VST world, often between 50-75% lower than the normal prizes for complete products or updates/upgrades. And sometimes i buy in for such upgrade paths for credulous few $$$ or even better with free VSTs. I wish here and there the RE cou...

Re: Do McDSP rack extensions (EQ / compressors) really work as they advertise?

I am just thinking if i ever heard a tone change on any of my compressors? Here and there i hear different management of different frequency. And of course they have different attack and release curves. All that changes the sound and therefore the tone. Nothing I would call coloring, because it is s...

That was it. Thanks! I knew it was simple, but the one thing I didn't think of was bringing up this menu with the right click!

Re: Disappearing Subscriptions 2: The Vanishing

I dont see any reason why you cannot use a upgrade in a subscription if it is not a payed update. Maybe its the old "free update" problem which doesnt seem to sync automatically. To me, it sounds like a bug.

Re: Add plugin to multiple tracks at once

@Loque Here's another potential use case: A channel strip that you like to use on a number of different tracks. Izotope Alloy 2, for example, has a number of different, lightweight tools for mixing. I agree that you don't want to be splashing the same reverb or delay across many different tracks - ...

Re: Add plugin to multiple tracks at once

Having 10 times the same device with the same settings is waste of CPU and waste of control to adjust them. it’s not a waste of CPU whatsoever if it gets you the sound you’re looking for. 🤷🏻‍♂️ as Selig points out, applying an effect globally on a summed buss is a completely different thing than ap...

Re: Arturia Synclavier Update 2 with resynthesis

I did not expect this to be a free upgrade, especially given that I'm still on V Collection 5. First the free upgrade to Analog Lab 3, and now this! I guess it's not technically a 2.0 update (it still shows up as Synclavier V, not V2), so that's why it's not paid. Actually, I'm looking in Arturia S...

Re: Add plugin to multiple tracks at once

I dont have that use case. I would use a bus or a send fx. That’s a different use case, with a different result for different situations. A bus or send FX would be would be POST channel, and would be applied to the bus/send “sum”. For example, non-linear processing such as compression or saturation...

Re: Creative Sound Blaster E5

I am not the super geek, but imo a decent sound card may help a little bit with latency, mostly in recording and sending it back to the speaker, headphone or have a direct-through. Yea, they may be faster here and there, have pre-amps, better AD/DA converter, standardized in/outputs, maybe more stuf...

Wow...how could i miss that updated. I just noted it through an email from Arturia and directly checked it out. Amazing! Resynthesis on the next level. You can just "import" a sample as a carrier, modulator or both. Than just say how many steps you want to create through the sample and bam! Now you ...

What's wrong with ASIO4ALL? You could try this with your current soundcard too.

What latency do you have atm and what do you need?
