Interesting - what do you have up your sleeve Mr Ponga? ;)

You should have made a VST that adds 1 dB, and told everyone it was some “special” algorithm that made everything you ran through it sound “better”. Ha Ha… ;(

Sent from some crappy device using Tapatalk
And sell it for 99€.

Re: Reason & FL Studio - cross platform performance benchmark

Well, not really big news. Reason is to slow compared to other DAWs. Feel free to ask PH about an improvement. Better to see that fixed in the next version instead a more and more content delivery. The always anyoing scanning of VSTs also happens on my side. I contacted the support and they said, t...

Re: Echoing only certain frequencies?

You can simply highpass and lowpass filter before or after the delay on a send or a parallel channel. I would prefer a parallel channel for simplicity.

Re: Q: Tips using processor intensive RE's

EXpanse may be very CPU hungry. For better use on low performance computers, decrease the release time of all envelopes, lower polyphony count, less unison, less or lower rate modulation. Lower reverb tails. For VK-2 the same, keep the settings low on the backside and for the filter on the front asw...

Re: Re-Route Main Outs

There is a free A/B audio switch RE. Use this in your default song to switch between your main output and another output. This keeps your main channel occupied and you can easily switch. Reason connects by default instruments and fx to Aan audio output above, so the other mentioned solution is a goo...

Re: Trying to grasp waveform manipulation in Europa

EXpanse has this feature, Oberon since a while and some vst synths. I am playing around with it too and i use a oscilloscope to see, what change in waveform produces which sound. For example 3/4 sine for bass and the rest a triangle for higher frequencies or just add a click sind at the end... Just ...

Just got info from Reason support saying it's a "legacy compatibility" issue and only 249 parameters are supported.

No mention of if they plan on fixing it :(

Thanks Loque. Does duplicating the channel take more CPU as the sample is replicated 3 times in the sequencer?
Never checked, sry. But i guess parallel channels are most cpu friendly.

Re: Parallel Channels Question

I guess in this case it does not make a difference to use parallel or duplicate channels.

And yes, you need to split the parallel ouput from the original to have multiple outputs for the side chains.

You can use the frequency rate to change its frequency. Most synths need hatte and not cv, i also wish one of it could be enough.

Re: A few Nostromo questions

There was a recent favourite REs of 2018 poll and this did rather mediocre, any ideas why? eXpanse is the most popular one and it deserves it. The way you can morph (not fade) wavetables, create your own and load wavetables, the many wave modifiers and fm is awsome. And its so easy to program. The ...

Re: Nasty VST undo bug (host crash)

I've stumbled upon a catastrophic bug that totally crashes Reason when undoing the creation of a VST rack unit under certain circumstances. This is in the latest version of Reason (10.0.2), on Windows. Steps to reproduce: - Create a VST rack unit. Every single VST seems to be affected (instruments,...

Re: Deal of the week: Synapse Collection

Antidote is great, the filter and its overdrive is very nice, The Legend is excellent, GQ-7 is my goto EQ, the EQ is nice to bass. It's the chorus included, because it is also great. I would buy it if I didn't already own all the stuff.

Re: Thor/Europa FM creative tip

I like my fm scaled by a short envelope, mainly for plucks to give it a more aggressive attack. Sometimes a LFO is better for that. Put this on a filter for trumpet metallic sounds too. Try to figure out the right scale amount.

If you cannot get your computer reauthorized, you may need to mark your computer as lost in your PH web account. Note, you can do this only a limited number. If you have done that more times than allowed, you need to contact support. But damn, I feel with you... Especially with VSTs, iLok and all th...

Re: Going to buy the legend has anyone used the VST version

Never heard of some crossgrade from Synapse, so you need to make a decision. If also prefer RE, but if i just need the synth without modulation i take the vst, because they are more cpu friendly in general.

I hope PH will improve the performance of RE soon or give me real ghosting.

Re: 4 Phase LFO

I'm looking at the 4 Phase lfo and the ammo 100, both have their advantages. Ammo may have lots of waveforms presets but they are not tweakable while 4 phase lfo have 5 basic waveforms but with more tweakable parameters. I mean with 4 phase lfo it is possible to tweak a sine waveform to various sha...
